my first review because they need help at this hotel. checked in went to room found nail clippings and potato chip crumbs on the rug. called front desk no answer. next day went to front desk explained the situation spoke to Jan, at the front desk he apologized and said he would send some people to take care of it. went to the room the bed was made but the floor was not vacuumed. Nobody answers the phone. i called everyday to get it vacuumed they finally came after i made a stink after 5 days of complaining my last night they came at 10 pm and vacuumed it. the place is so overpriced the staff looks like they are all upset and just don’t want to be there. The food and drinks were extremely over priced. the staff seemed to avoid eye contact. The gym is old. the whole place looks a bit dated. i went to palomina island packed in a tiny boat packed with people didnt see life saving jackets. The ocean was beautiful and it was a nice place but then i went to order food I was served raw chicken complained and they acted like it was my fault. total trashy food. the server didn’t have a name tag on. be prepared to walk. we had to take the funicular up and down all day was real annoying and a time waster. the battery in our room door went dead had to wait for someone to let us in and change the battery late at night. I saw a dead bird in a pond at the pool told three people they all ignored me. i can go on but this limits the amount of characters allowed.

The room was not clean upon our arrival, housekeeping was informed and after visiting the room we still had hair from a prior party in the bathroom shower. The property is beautiful, and the scenery is amazing, but they need to do better on cleaning the rooms and balconys.

The property is absolutely beautiful and everyone was friendly and helpful. Self parking is a little confusing and they don’t offer much instruction on how it works. They could easily make it a smoother operation. But that’s just nitpicking, I would recommend El Conquistador to anyone.
