After I had booked I got scared by some negative reviews and was very curious to see the truth for myself. This place is AWESOME. We will go back next year. On a huge property still recovering from the 2017 hurricane with hundreds of staff and moving parts, was every single thing perfect of all 5 days? No! But some reviewers who complain are leaving out the big picture. Gorgeous, incredible property, friendly staff, a legit water park, fun games for kids, nice pools. If you have young to mid-age kids I don’t imagine it gets better than this. Having stayed with my family at El Conquistador I have a feeling it will be a long time before we stay anywhere else, and we all agree we cannot wait to go back to PR!!!

The property was beautiful. The staff were extremely welcoming, especially Angel when he brought our luggage to our room. He took the time to give us an extensive run down of the property. He deserves a raise!! However, we were charged for a meal we did not eat and it was a hassle to get it taken off. Getting in and out of the resort was a bit of a hassle but we got the hang of it. The restaurants on the resort were 'mid' at best and pretty overpriced. We ate most of our meals off of the resort.

Awesome views

The resort was beautiful and the views from the room amazing! We really like Palomino Island. The services was really good too in all the restaurants and establishments in the resort. The only downside was that the room was a little bit dusty and the sheets were kind of rough. But we will stay here again.

A little bit of everything.

Classy resort with great pools, super friendly staff, fun waterpark, and a neat funicular to transport you down to the marina area to where you can take the boat to the beautiful private beach island. We enjoyed staying in the villas down there vs the upper part of the resort. It seemed like most of the guests had Casita wristbands on - I cannot speak of those. Next time we come back I will venture off the resort and check out the few restaurants around. We didn’t love the dinners at the restaurants as much as we hoped. Lunches and drinks were scrumptious. #tip: get some churros at the Mexican restaurant and then run up for some ice cream next to the Italian restaurant. So good!
