Quaint, cozy hotel

Stay was good but keep in mind this is in the old city and its a converted house into a hotel so all of the commodities of a hotel are not present. Once I understood this I'm smart enough to not have given this place a 2, but enjoyed it for what it had to offer. You cannot beat the location as everything in old San Juan is within walking distance. You can hear people walking up and down the stairs. We stayed near the entry so we could also hear suitcases rolling by. I could only imagine that if you asked for a room that faces the street you would hear street noise at night since its a busy city. However they do constantly text you reminding you about the quite hours so that was nice of them to control. The room is probably smaller than your room at home, but I did ask for one with A/C so that was a bonus. You get a text daily asking if you wanted housekeeping to swing by, and 3 out of 4 times they came. I did like that they provided beach towels and lotion for your beach day, so those were a few less things I had to bring with me. All in all the location is the bonus of this hotel. We did take them up on their local parking that they recommended and it was a close walk to our rented car. They do have a coffee station and a place to sit if needed. Since you'll mostly use it to sleep, I think this fits the bill. If you're a bit more high maintenance and need absolute quite, room service, fresh towel daily,etc, this is not the hotel for you. I would recommend for short stays.

If you don’t mind loud tourists partying down the street throughout the night, this is the place to stay in Old San Juan. It’s a gorgeous property that gives you a true 19th century Old San Juan living experience.
