The hotel had a very musty smell to it. Everything in our room felt damp at all times. The breakfast was just ok, usually cold, but I would put my plate of food in the microwave to remedy. The bar was great! Alexandra and Gabriel did an amazing job!

Upon arrival, we were checked in quickly, however, when we went up to our room, we were assigned the incorrect room. We had to go back to the lobby with our luggage and request the correct room. We did not receive help with our luggage either time. The welcoming upon arrival could use much work. We were not given direction of where to go or an explanation of where things were located in the hotel. There was a paper sitting at the front desk that stated the pool would be closed, but had we not seen this paper, we would not have known because the workers did not notify us verbally. Although the paper said the pool would be closed and after getting verbal confirmation of this when asking a worker, there were still people in the pool, so it was quite confusing. We did not receive any explanation of the $40 credit, which was extremely unfortunate because we did not find out until our last day how it could properly be used, so we did not get the most out of it. Communication can use MUCH work at this hotel and would have to be my only complaint.

Everything looked clean and in good condition but I had a hard time with the damp mildewy odor. I understand that it’s a humid tropical environment but it wasn’t this bad the last time I stayed here.

We stayed at this place from February 16th to 21st. Everything was average; nothing special. I saw reviews where everyone mentioned that this place smelled moldy and musty. Our room wasn’t that bad, but there was still a little bit of a musty smell. Additionally, I had already booked the hotel and paid the money, but once we arrived, they charged us an extra $468. I knew they would charge an extra for destination fee or something $200, but I wasn’t aware of the additional $268. When I asked about another $268, they said it was a deposit. Receptionist also mentioned that it would be refunded after check-out in 3-5 business days. Now it’s been almost ten days, and they still haven’t refunded my money. I want my money back. It feels like a scam. Next time, we will not stay at this place, and I’m not going to recommend it.

Property from the outside and the lounge area are very nice. The rooms and hallway smell of mold/mildew. When reported to the staff they came to the room and acted as if they didn't smell mold/mildew. They then sprayed some sent in the room. It still smelled of mold/mildew. Staff stated they had no other roon available.
