Make sure you read the fine print.

It was a nice hotel, but I had a problem when checking in. The young guy up front was pretty rude or just having a bad day not sure, but when I when in to check in and I guess this hotel doesn't take debit cards when put a hold for the room. Aka $150 just in case you mess up the room. You have to pay with a "credit card".... I've been staying at different hotel for over 5 years and never ran into this problem. I drive over 5 hours to get to this town for business and now I can't sleep here... Then this guy said I could stay there but NOW I would have to paid "$500" cash. I'm like what... I called hotels.com about it since I booked the hotel though them. I was on the phone with him for some time and he did the best he could with this situation that was going on. I lucky had $500 cash on me at the time. I walked back in but I guess NOW this guy was leaving for the day and now he couldn't help me. So I had to wait for the next guy which was about 30 seconds. Not to long. I told this guy that the other guy said I could pay $500 cash since I didn't have a credit card and he said, "sorry we don't take cash". I said the other guy just said I could. He said he was not sure what was said but we don't take cash. I walked out not happy and now no were to sleep after driving all this way. I was in my van about to call hotel.com back. The other guy walk out and talked with me and made the situation right. Aka I had some were to sleep now and I didn't pay that. I wouldn't stay here again.

You get what you pay for, and that's okay. The bed was actually comfortable but it's obvious they just don't care about maintaining the rooms what with the stains and broken furnishings, etc. It looks like a well kept place from the exterior but the rooms (at least mine) are a different reality. Still, what does one expect for rock bottom lodging prices?

My friend and I got a couple rooms for the weekend. We found some rotten pieces of an apple on the A/C unit in one of the rooms and thought "it's wtvr, this is just gonna be one of 'those' hotel stays". But as the night progressed we noticed a hole in the wall, burn marks on the blankets, and thennnn we spotted a bunch of roaches. After killing the roaches so the kids could calm down, I moved the upholstered chair in the corner of the room and found some decomposed stuff stuck to the carpet. Still not sure what it was but I threw it away. It was late at night, but staying in that room wasn't tolerable so we requested another room. The night-time counter clerk was sympathetic and nice, and provided new room cards quickly. We found rotten food in the new room as well... What the actual heck, guys. Pay your cleaning people better and maybe they'll care. The hot tub was out of service and the pool had what looked like a bunch of leaves and dirt in it. Won't be staying at this place again.

Wowza, where do I start? I’m not generally one to write reviews as I typically just don’t return to places if I’m not fond of them. For this, I’m going out of my way to help future guests steer clear. This place is a literal hazard. I can’t say I’m totally shocked given the price… but I’ve never stayed in a hotel, Inn or motel worse than this. The front desk person was nice and helpful, no complaints there. Once I made it into my room, I noticed the EXTREME staining on the carpet. I set my bags on one of the two beds before I noticed the glitter and crusty stains on the blankets. I’m not talking - washed but wont come out stains - I’m talking thick fluids that dried into a crust and haven’t been washed at all stains. To the point of near gagging, I stripped the comforter to inspect sheets. Big surprise, more stains and full of hairs. I called several hotels nearby but was unsuccessful in finding another room in the middle of the night on such short notice. I went back to inspect the bed again, and thats when I saw a roach - a literal COCKROACH - on the wall. On top of that, the panel for the AC unit was destroyed and not at all in a functional state, several of the lamps were having issues, the ‘furniture’ is dingy, falling apart, and missing pieces, there was a questionable odor, towels were dirty, shower had not been cleaned, the complementary shampoos were used, and the shower caulking was moldy and gross. Absolutely will not stay again, and I’d advise you don’t either.

Beautiful architecture, great locale for hiking SP (starting point), hiked all three peaks from hotel. Nice stroll down to farmers market, a lot of variety nearby.

We would stay somewhere else next time

The room was clean. Unfortunately all of the knobs/dials were missing off the a/c unit and it was impossible to control the room temperature. There was a safe in the room but it was not working. This is an older hotel which appears to need a lot of work. We would probably not stay here again.

Poorly managed remodel

Hotel is being remodeled and the rooms they are keeping in service are in bad shape. Missing handles and latches. Carpet is filthy and sticky. Linens had stains and holes. Pool and jacuzzi were not in working order. Ironic that we were warned at check in against removing anything from the room - that would have been an improvement.
