An overnight stay. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly. Newly refurbished bar/ lounge - warm and comfortable atmosphere. We enjoyed our evening meal - fish and chips and steak. Delicious. However, breakfast was poor. Food was lukewarm. Poached egg was undercooked. Toast was barely toasted. Limited choice at buffet table. Watermelon ‘salad’ consisted of 1 type. Staff were very apologetic and asked if they could bring another cooked breakfast. We would stay again as it was in a very convenient location and it was comfortable and friendly but breakfast needs improving.

Very nice room and lovely breakfast. If you’re a tea drinker the hot water from the coffee machine is tepid at best but a request for a kettle was promptly accommodated though the milk in the fridge was off but again this was able to swap out for fresh from the bar. If unfamiliar with the area be aware need to drive past hotel to next roundabout and take first exit to gain access to rear.

Easy to find the hotel is in the centre of Sandbach Plenty of parking The staff were helpful and welcoming The choice of food especially the breakfast was excellent There are shops such as Boots, Waitrose and Costa close by I would happily recommend the Wheatsheaf Hotel
