Reserved this property for a four night stay for a family wedding with events in Santa Barbara and Carpenteria, so the Summerland location was perfect. The highest number of adults was seven. With three bedrooms, that meant that two adults slept on trundle beds in an adjoining area. the house worked out great for this reunion, with a beautiful living room and adjacent deck overlooking the ocean.

Wonderful location with beautiful, relaxing home.

The location was wonderful with stunning ocean views. We loved the feeling of the home and the comfort of the bed and couches. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed for a perfect relaxing stay. We have 2 families share the space and it was well designed with an upstairs and downstairs suite. I think the hot tub needs a new cover, but it was an otherwise perfect stay.

While the views and décor were nice, 3 of the adults were 75 and older. We didn't know how many stairs there were going to be. We had 2 knee replacements and one on the way in the grandparent group.When I arrived, other family pointed me to my room and bath (the master) as I badly needed to use the bathroom. I took a face plant into the room, not knowing there were 2 steps. I have a bruised cheek and other aches and pains. But avoided a trip to the hospital.The shower water didn't drain well and found myself in inches of water every shower. Also probably not good for seniors.You should have stair rails on the wall side of the front entry. Stair rails into the living room and my room would have been nice. After that fall I was terrified entering those rooms with steps.In general this place was not safe for seniors. Some kind of ADA awareness would help.

Summerland gem

Clean, comfortable, spacious kitchen, easy access to SB and freeway. Jacuzzi was nicely situated but the cover to the jacuzzi was in horrible condition. Hard to impossible without 4 of us to take off. The material of the failing top would pollute the water. Sad. Other than that, the place was great.

Wedding weekend

Perfect location for extended family in town to celebrate a wedding. Beautifully finished, great location , indoor/outdoor living. Amazing views. Well equipped and in great repair. Would have liked another bath that wasn’t in a bedroom. Great closet space also.

Son's SBarb Wedding Celebration Weekend

Son got married in Santa Barbara. MOG & FOG stayed in Summerland VRBO with MOG's sisters and hubbies for the celebration weekend. Accommodations and distance to SB for events were ideal. Lots of room separation and multiple balconies/yard. Do check caltrans work on 101 to ensure timely arrival to SB destinations. All the amenities needed are provided.

Almost perfect, but a improvements for the price

Stunning views Comfortable beds Excellent kitchen But… Lower level smells very musty like mildew, they installed a dehumidifier to try to eliminate. Toilet needs to be fixed (just a flapper), and no A/C. So it gets a 4 with potential to be a 5.

Family time

We stayed a few days to pick up my son from UCSB and wanted a property with a view. The house had a great view and was perfect for our family and extended family. Only issue we had is the garage was not accessible/broken. Also would be good to have known the driveway is very steep and the house was a multi level with many stairs. Not a problem for me but my 86yo mother in law had a hard time getting around.

Summerland House

The property was very clean, very well stocked, I was actually surprised by the quality of the cook ware. We throughly enjoyed the deck, the view and the short walk to the beach and town where we enjoyed a great dinner and breakfast! The host was very quick to respond on a minor hot tub issue, which we enjoyed very much! Would definitely stay here again!
