Commercial trucks unloading outside the room at 4:30am was not very pleasant. Lost a lot of sleep because of this. Also surprising was the duck tape holding the floor together by the bathroom?

We love the property and the breakfast, but they are cleaning their laundry with harsh chemicals, my daughter’s legs and arms were covered in hives in the morning after sleeping on the hotel sheets. We did not have the same reaction, but if your skin is sensitive I you might want to bring a sheet with you to put on top of theirs. They are definitely clean though, no bacteria can survive after such a chemical treatment 😅

The room was fine - the bed was awful! The mattress needs to be replaced - too hard and mattress edge was very worn on each side. Pillows were hard and lumpy - very uncomfortable - hard to get comfortable. I never slept soundly, was up 5 times during the night. Finally, the air conditioner came on frequently, which woke us up each time. Pool was nice and breakfast was fine, but with the bed so uncomfortable, we will have to find another place to stay when coming to Capitola!

Friendly service at the front desk. Place is clean. Bed was comfortable. The room we stayed - looks like they were still working on the wall for the showers.

The bar by the hotel plays music extremly loud and late...was impossible to go to sleep...the floors are very thin so the people above me were really loud when walking...you can hear everything in the hall corridor because the walls are so thin...the continental breakfast served rubbery eggs....overall would not stay again...for the price I expected more.

Great Location. Hotel does need to be updated. The Room that I stayed in needed maintenance. The walls were scratched and needed repair. The flooring scratched and peeling. The bathroom faucet was hooked up backwards. The hallways smell musty. The breakfast room was not very clean and was unattended most of the time.

We booked this room 15 minutes prior to arriving and were happy with the room and closeness to restaurants which were walkable. The area seemed very safe and the free breakfast was the best we’d had on our trip. It offered both hot items and grab and go and even had a free latte machine in the lobby along with free cookies. Will definitely come back to this hotel when in the area in the future.
