The Hotel was perfect, great staff. The only area of improvement would be the restaurant. Do not waste your time dining at the hotel, you will be disappointed, instead walk to one of the restaurants in the area. It’s safe, fun and a more satisfactory experience.

The check-in process was very efficient. While the pool is not temperature-controlled, the property itself is quite beautiful. However, there were two weddings held during our stay, which did cause some noise disruption. 10/10 for the location.

We were given a room on the fourth floor which was below the air conditioning machinery and was very loud. Upon requesting a room change, the hotel staff was very accommodating and were able to give us a quieter room. On the second night however, there was a wedding party and we could only have a quiet environment until midnight. This was unfortunately and definitely caused issues for us with a young child and being able to get a good night rest.

The property is so beautiful and unique, walking under the arches and around the fountains I felt like a medieval princess. The staff was mostly very professional, except our bellhop hung around our room and tried to sell us a tour with his friend. The restaurant was nice, but there is no included breakfast, so we ate in restaurants and coffee shops in the colonial center. It felt very safe walking around, but since it is a tourist center, the prices were pretty high. I would definitely come back here again next time I'm in Santo Domingo.

This is an incredible hotel for any price! If you enjoy history this is where it all started for the Americas! Literally The first governor's house on the first paved road. The colonial city has a heavy police presence so it's as safe as anywhere you could go. I've never seen an old building kept up so well anywhere. The staff is first class and will do anything to make your stay as great as possible (especially my guy Hermes.) Once you stay here you'll never quit recommending it! I'll definitely be back!
