The Gîte

This fully renovated holiday home has been designed as if we were going to live in it ourselves. Every detail, from the bedding to the furnishings and equipment, has been carefully selected to ensure you feel completely at home.

The house comfortably accommodates up to six guests. It features a spacious 45 m² open-plan living area furnished with a traditional French winegrower’s table, six chairs, a leather sofa and ottoman, elegant teak furniture, a 43-inch flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a Chromecast so you can enjoy your own streaming services such as Netflix. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious home-cooked meals.

On the ground floor, you will find the air-conditioned master bedroom, together with a modern shower room featuring a spacious walk-in shower, washbasin, heated towel rail, and toilet.

Upstairs, there is a second air-conditioned bedroom with two single beds. Upon request, these can be joined together with a mattress topper to create a comfortable 160 × 200 cm king-size bed.

The upstairs bathroom includes a bathtub, double washbasin, heated towel rail, and toilet.

The mezzanine offers a comfortable sofa bed that can be used either as an additional double bed or as a cosy reading corner. Guests of all ages will also enjoy a selection of board games, comic books, and books.

The swimming pool is shared with us and provides a welcome place to cool off during the hottest summer days. During the shoulder seasons, the pool is heated for your comfort.

Bed linen, bath towels, and pool towels are all provided, allowing you to travel light and enjoy your holiday from the moment you arrive.

Whether you choose to relax inside the house, unwind in the garden while admiring the beautiful views of the surrounding forest, cool off in the swimming pool, or gaze at the magnificent star-filled sky free from light pollution, this holiday home offers everything you need for an unforgettable stay in the beautiful Duras region.
