Not the Park Royal but 5 star Quirky and Unique decor, contactless check in had me puzzled at first but easy to master. The room was more spacious than most motels, very comfortable... The lake and the beach right at your back deck, stunning views. Kayaks and bikes available for use. One of the best stays we've had in Tassy

This property has a great location! View is beach, uninterrupted. However, the property is showing its age. Dated decor, plumbing needs work, but clean so that was good. Driveway off the street is quite steep angle, be very careful if your car is low to the ground! Self Check-in was smooth.

The owner Shelly was amazing. Shelly's communication and hospitality was second to none. She went out of her way to help my elderly father who made a mistake in a booking and did it out of kindness. Can't recommend Pelican Sands enough. Great job and we'll definitely come back. 👍

On first appearance it seems like they are upgrading the front of the motel. I believe it was very messy when they bought it and it is still a work in progress. The rooms are immaculate. The view took me straight to our private balcony. Absolutely stunning view straight across the lake to the sea. I’d heard some people caught a kg of prawns in the lake in front of us the day before. The King size bed was the most comfortable bed we’d slept on in our whole trip. Extras pillows if we wanted. Nice size lounge/ bedroom. There’s a local wine you can buy in the room. We would totally recommend staying here. Shelley was extremely helpful and welcoming.

Really enjoyed staying at this property, it is an older site and the room we were in has been renovated nicely and it was really relaxing. Great view out over the lagoon and the beach and lovely spot to watch the sunrise from bed. Easy parking, good communication and very accommodating, would certainly stay here again.

Great location. We were worried about what to expect when we arrived as the outside area, (carpark and building exterior) did not look great but we were pleasantly surprised by the room interior and spectacular view... The room was nicely presented and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Would recommend for a long or short stay.

The rooms are beautiful inside, nice furnishings and super comfy beds. The place looks a bit old from the street and could do with some love to match the style of the interior. Great view over the sand bars and water.

I'd like to give them 5 stars but they have taken extra funds from my credit card and unable to provide a reason for this. My final invoice from them alao states the overcharge. They advised that it is explained in all the booking details but there is nothing there, the web link they provided on their T&Cs doesn't exist, nor does it directly on their website.

Great clean location and very friendly host. Beds were super comfy and the view out of the main bedroom was superb. Board games were a bonus as the weather turned the first couple of days we were there so it was great fun playing monopoly! I would suggest that before any guests check in that basic supplies are checked for adequacy like soap, shampoo and kitchen amenities like oil, salt, pepper. Also the second bedroom had a blind that could not be opened so the room was in darkness all the time. This should be fixed. We would have no hesitation recommending this place. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely place to stay with awesome access to the main sights of the east coast. Fully recommend taking a kayak and getting out on the river. Owner is super friendly and very accommodating.
