I didnt like my room ! Wasnt the room i wanted from the pictures or the one id booked , the shower was attached to the taps over bath, was supposed to be a cubicle ,room on a slant ,drawers put in front of other drawers so couldn't open , was tiny room supposed to be double id hate to see a small room ! I was so upset ! Couldn't get money back there said no refunds ! The friendliest staff there were the cleaners! Always saying hello to us and smiling

The worst bed we have slept in

The mattress was horrendous. We could feel lumps while we were trying to sleep . There was no mattress protector. The pillows were so hard we ended up sleeping without one. It was so hot in the room and the window would not stay open.

When we arrived no working lifts and no help with baggage, even though as 60 year olds they had placed us on the 5th floor!! Room was dated but very clean. Great beds and clean bathroom. TV not working and toilet seat lose. Fire door and staff closet door banged all night

We had a family room and there was plenty of space in the rooms, with a separate room with a single bed and TV. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean. We only had a short stay and this met our needs. Staff were really friendly and helpful

This was worse than our last stay, we paid for a better room and also asked if we could get a higher floor or a good view, we asked multiple times but got non we got first floor with the view being a back alley with trolleys getting pushed around early and late hours seagulls also constantly, we didn’t get any housekeeping when it said we would and also didn’t get a fridge, we gave the reception our milk,they lost it but i think they drunk it because how can you loose milk, when we asked for a better room they said they were fully booked but then someone after us literally booked a room, the lifts were broken the whole time we was there and the receptionist was rude it also felt like he was very sarcastic towards us

Never again!!

Honestly, the worst hotel ive stayed in. Staff were polite but certainly not willong to go out there way for you. Breakfast was edible. Bar snacks were mostly unavailable due to shortage of staff or lack of key ingredients. The lift broke several times a day No cleaning during your visit, including emtpying bins, or replacing towels, coffee etc:

We had a lovely nights stay in a family room at the royal hotel. The lady at check in was so friendly and let us go to our room quite a few hours early for no extra cost. The room was enormous for 3 of us, there was a huge king size bed, a sitting room space with sofas and deprecate bedroom for my daughter. It was all very clean. The lobby / restaurant areas were so grand and very interesting to look at, especially for kids. The location was perfect, close to station, shops and beach. For the price we paid this was an excellent hotel.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The building it's a very nice could do with a bit of TLC you can see the potential in the building but it's just not taken advantage of. Needs a good dusting and painting session. My room had an interesting tilt to it, which just added to it's charm the bathroom let it down could do with a slight up grade or just have the taps attaching to the bath would be a good start. It's a really nice looking hotel with nice staff just needs a bit of TLC.
