We stayed here with our small child the pictures looked very beautiful and when we got there the employee at the front desk seemed like she was under the influence she kept nodding off while checking us in and this process took 30 minutes and this could always be a one off she might’ve just been having an off day but then when we got to our room and got settled in there was a sex toy under the ottoman in front of the bed I’m lucky my daughter didn’t find this and we did then the jacuzzi in the room when turned on rose petals came out of the jet and the overall cleanliness of the room was horrific and there was no one around to alert of this I would definitely not recommend this hotel

Beautiful building and super friendly staff. Our room had a view of the University of Scranton athletic field and it was fun to watch the ultimate frisbee practice. Curtains were able to block out the light from the field. Hope to be back again!

It's a beautiful building.It's old so there are obviously going to be some imperfections but I do feel like once you get to where the rooms are, there's definitely some room for touch up painting. Things look a little bit worn. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff overall was friendly however there was a wedding on our second day there which was fine but we should have been told that the restaurant and the little store was going to close early and wouldn't be available to us for breakfast. It kind of threw off our entire day because we then had to go out and search for a place to have breakfast. In that immediate area parking is horrendous and we had to drive very far to go get something. Additionally, there was a lady that worked at the counter in the evening and every time I went to the desk she was busy scrolling on her phone and we had to get her attention for assistance so that was a little bit annoying. The service inTrax was good. The drinks were good the food was meh. Overall, for the price, it was just OK.

The old train station has a beautiful central area with stained glass, mosaics, and the ticket office and cafe still on display. I walked around and there was a coat closet in the old vault, which was cool. The restaurants had good food. Our room on the sixth floor was modern and clean.
