I stay at this hotel once a year when I come to Scranton. I’ve been doing this for 23 years. The hotel is consistently clean and quiet . The staff friendly is friendly. The restaurant (Carmen’s) is very good, although it’s only open for dinner on the weekends. The hotel lobby and first floor have retained its charm from the early 20th century.

University visit

Hotel was fine, close to campus. Good restaurant. Just please don’t say you have a free airport shuttle when it stops running. Was stuck at airport because when called hotel after landing was told shuttle stopped running at 4pm. It was 5pm when I called so had to spend money to get an Uber.

The property is beautiful and the staff is friendly, but definitely not for everyone.the rooms are small, specially the bathrooms, and there a little outdated and run down. With that being said, thats part of the charm of the location as it is an old converted train station, but if you want an updated super clean hotel experience than your better off at the hilton conference center down the road. I prefer the charm of the radisson, altough the 32 inch NOT smart tv needs to go and some new technology needs to be added to go along with the charm of thr location.

Hotel in Lackawanna Scranton

The hotel is beautiful & the staff were very polite and very accommodating. We were even allowed to check in a few hours early, due to a snag in our original plans that were beyond our control. I was surprised how small the room was, though. There was either too much furniture in it or the furniture was too big. It was very difficult to navigate around the room without struggling to move items each time.
