We’ve stayed here a few times and generally like the value for money. Not big gamblers so we stay here for its proximity to a local auto racing track. The hotel is pretty isolated so there’s no amenities right near the hotel. Closest town is Port Perry about 15 minutes or so. The rooms are quite nice. There is dining on site but we didn’t take advantage of that. Would’ve liked a bit of a better morning coffee/breakfast option included with your stay like other chains but I’m sure they want you to use their on site restaurant and get a few bucks that way. The rooms have a mini fridge but no microwave or coffee maker which I think should be standard in any room these days. The rates are fairly reasonable for a nice, clean and modern room. It works for our needs.

This was our first time to this hotel and accommodations were great , we ventured off to the casino and donated some funds and then enjoyed some really good food at the restaurant in the casino a good time was had by all !!!

Both times we have stayed here it was amazing! The rooms are big, the beds are comfortable and everything was clean. Was such an amazing stay both times! Price of the rooms were good as well.

Clean spacious, modern and comfortable rooms. Definitely enough for families, but if you’re looking for a place to stay in the area definitely number one choice.

the room was very nice and clean, the staff were very friendly and nice. the casino is very well operated and clean, the restaurant is expensive and so so. The property is not wonderful, i don't think property is that important for a casino who sits outside. I had great fun and we will go back but it will be a while

Overall, happy with the Great Blue Heron for a one night stay. The hotel main areas were clean and accessible. The check-in was quick and the front desk reception was friendly and made a great suggestion for a local bakery! The room was clean and spacious. The Mother Earth peppermint and sage shampoo & conditioner smell so wonderful.
