This property was so lacking the Marriott brand. More like a Motel 6. First thing receptionist's attitude was one of "who cares, why am I here". When we arrived there was a family (NAVY VET) that had to drive there because thier dogs weren't able to fly from Atlanta because of the heat factor. They called to leave message they'd be a late chick in because the airline refused to allow the dogs to fly. After almost 2 days on the road they were told at check in their room had been "automatically" cancelled. Reception didn't offer any help just told them they didn't have any rooms for them. This family was moving to Japan as part of his service. Attitude was "why are you bothering me"! I needed to print our airline boarding passes but was told they got rid of their business center. Unbelievable, your hotel is next to the airport! Then I wanted to iron my cloths but only was given an iron and no ironing board. WHAT? Attitude by staff was horrible to say the least.

The staff will not clean your room until asked and only every other day. We contacted the front desk the day after arrival and asked that our room be service. They informed us that the cleaning staff had departed for the day. We subsequently requested that our room be cleaned the next day at 1:00 pm. The next day we returned in the evening to our room unserved. I promptly walked down to the front desk and inquired as to the reason our room had not been cleaned. The staff member stated to me that they had no record of our request. Unhappy with the lack of service I requested a set of towels and sheets. She had only a set of towels on hand as she stated that there were other customers that also requested sheets and towels and she need to retrieve additional quantities of towels and sheets in their linen room some distance away from the front desk counter. There as no mention of the room cleaning frequency or the need to request cleaning on their website. We certainly will not stay at this hotel again and I have posted this review with my family and friends.

Post-cruise stay

The room on 3rd floor had a beautiful view of the lake and Mt. Rainier. We were surprised that it had a kitchenette and large bathroom with separate changing area. Staff were very helpful and allowed us to wait and/or store our luggage until a room was ready--early check in from cruise. Very close to SeaTac airport and the shuttle staff were professional and helpful. Mass transit train link to Seattle is across the street. Definitely will be our go-to hotel when we return to Seattle!
