This place doesn’t have the quality of a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. The rooms are ok (seemed renovated) but the overall look & feel including the amenities like the pool looked more like a motel 6. Staff was friendly, tried to spend as little time as possible.

Had a great stay at Sky Rock - you can’t beat the views they have - seriously 360. The shared balcony feels big and its great to chill at night by the fire. Breakfast buffet was great for good price and live music was the highlight while stargazing. Rooms are big and clean and its located within minutes of everything you need. There was an extra charge in my card but after talking to manager all was taken care. Great experience overall!

Room was clean, property was well situated. Views were very nice. Some of the staff seemed a little shady and there was an issue at check-in - seems many guests had opted for late check-out and our room was not ready until 5 p.m. Otherwise we had a wonderful time.

What a great stay in Sedona. Not all rooms get a view of the red rocks but all rooms are only a couple steps from the lobby which allows you to view the red rocks. You can also enjoy a drink while taking in the view, and the stars at night. Robyn (front desk) was super sweet and very well informed. We would likely go back just to see her again.

We stayed 8 nights.There must have been a dog staying at the hotel because on the patio outside our room there was dog crap under the picnic table and a strong urine smell. We told the front desk and they did nothing. They washed the patio the day before we left but never cleaned the crap up. We stay at this hotel for the view from the patio. The couches also needed new cushions. They were all ripped apart. I am sure the hotel is charging for the dogs to stay but are not cleaning up after them.

Wanted to experience a new hotel and a closer stay to trails we'd be taking. Stay was very disappointing, true to previous reviews, reminiscent of old motel. The room we got had 4 walls with 3 small windows and overpriced. No hot water, parking is not free, rooms are plain, a/c loud, pool is smaller than it marketed, walls are thin you can hear the neighboring guests. Check-in staff vague and dismissive including at the bar - shockingly - nothing reminiscent of other Marriotts. On the 3rd day we found through other guests of some activities and amenities at the hotel, they even had a flyer.

Check-in took almost an hour. They said they were "in transition" and long story short gave us a room upgrade because of the long wait and difficulty in obtaining a room. Breakfast of avocado toast consisted of a tiny smear of avocado on soggy toast covered with greens that were a day old or older. During breakfast, staff vacuumed the area near us and left a dusty cloud for several minutes. Why? It was the busiest time of morning. Except for one lady, staff was not friendly (especially the bartender), and didn't seem very well trained. Customer service at this resort is a problem. Views of Sedona red rock cliffs were superior, but not worth the experience we had.
