I paid online, received confirmation and showed up on site. Phoned owner and said no room available. Checked Expedia later, rooms still apperantly available. I want a refund
The host was rude and no help at all. There was a mix up and he didn’t have a room so rather than offer help via support or phone he simply closed the do in my face
Terrible hotel. I have paid for the room, however upon check out the property owner insist he has never gotten my booking and ask for payment. I am therefore paid him again so I can leave. I have called hotel.come to stop my payment that I have paid during booking and refund this. Hotel.com insist to call the owner and ask for refund with second payment. I have told hotel.com the owner do not speak a word of English and have not acting honest from my meeting to him. Now hotel.com told the owner did not answered the call after few attempts and therefore no refund for that whatever end. This is totally utterly ridiculous.
Never had such a bad experience. Being a gold members I am totally unimpressed. Why hotel.com do not listen to customer experience ???
This hotel must dropped from hotel.com. Business must be run based on integrity and this property has lacked off.
When we got there he did not have both the double rooms that had been reserved for over two months, even though they had recently been confirmed.. He only had one of them, and sent us next door to another hotel for the the second room, which was only a single, He said the other room would be available in two days. He didn't understand
why that was a problem, and was angry when we then chose to look for another place.
we have never stayed in such immaculately clean accommodation. not even any dust/dirt on the outside balcony, which must be so hard to achieve. some people may find the décor dated but, for us, it fitted perfectly with the tyrolean charm of the property. great views of surrounding mountains, lovely gardens, and a short walk to the lake and a couple of bars/restaurants (simple food).
wifi was poor, perhaps not surprising considering the mountains, but not a problem for our one night stopover plus near the motorway. parking on site.
We didn’t get the type of room we had booked, but no effort what so ever to make up for it or even apologise.
It was very difficult to get in touch with the “staff” when needed, and he didn’t speak English at all even if it says they should.

Es gab für uns keine Zimmer, trotz Reservierungsbestätigung von expedia. Aufpassen!
Sehr zufrieden. Es war eine spontane Buchung auf dem Rückweg aus dem Süden. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, der See zu Fuß erreichbar.

Trotz Buchung über Expedia war für uns kein Zimmer frei. Auf der eigenen Homepage der Pension waren noch Zimmer frei. Vor Ort hat man uns gesagt, dass aber nichts frei ist. Wahrscheinlich lag es am Abrufen der Buchung. Somit kann ich keine Bewertung abgeben, ausser dass es optisch eine schöne Pension ist, in einer tollen Lage. Tipp: Telefonisch buchen!
11 dagen voor overnachting geboekt en bevestigd gekregen. Kom je rond 19:00 uur aan na 12,5 uur in de auto te hebben gezeten. Is er geen reservering en geen kamer. Daar was alles mee gezegd, hulp krijgen tot het vinden van een andere overnachting of een sorry, ho maar. De kamer lijkt dubbel verhuurd, ik had aangegeven om bij aankomst te betalen, deze keuze werd mij geboden. Sta je dan moe, bezweet en klaar. Kan je nog even van alles gaan regelen en weer in de auto stappen. Erg onvriendelijk allemaal.
On leaving the accomodation the owner insisted I settle the bill directly with him even though I had paid online via Expedia in advance. I first verified with my bank and with Expedia that the payment had been processed, and then of course refused to pay the bill a second time. At this point Herr Golker became quite bad tempered. I then contacted Expedia to try to resolve the situation; they were helpful and tried to contact the guest house on my behalf. Herr Golker took the call and insisted that he couldn't speak to them as he didn't understand english. Expedia then called back with a German translator, but Herr Golker refused to take the call. I was worried that I might be branded a criminal if I just left at this point, so I called the police myself. The police came to the guest house and spoke to Herr Golker, and reassured me that I could leave.
The owner should not list his guest house on Expedia if he is not aware of how payments are processed, or of how to check whether a guest has paid in advance or not--and certainly not if he is also unwilling to speak with Expedia staff in case of a dispute with a guest.
This very unpleasant situation delayed my departure and spoiled my day.
