Hotel Grimsborgir is an exceptional retreat located in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle. The spacious rooms, hot tubs just outside the building, and excellent on-site dining made our stay truly unforgettable.

Lovely hotel. Chalets based around a central reception. Near a lake but we didn't notice till we left. I was expecting a private hot tub but it was shared with 3 other rooms in the chalet. Breakfast was good.

Great stay. Super breakfasts. Super hot hot-tub. And Northern Lights! It would be even better if hotel adopted Dark Skies policies, as many guests like to catch the northern lights but there are too many poorly positioned path lights, patio lights and lights on the various buildings - and unfortunately it wasn’t possible to turn off or adjust lights.
