good value for the price and location

The hotel is good value if you are looking for low-priced accommodation in the centre of Seoul. The price comes with downsides in terms of room size, space for luggage, view from windows (to a wall) etc. The room was overheated for my taste but since the window could not be opened I had to resort to using the aircon to get down to a bearable temperature. Also, bizarrely, neither my phone nor tablet would connect to the wifi. It briefly worked while the nice receptionist was there to check but then cut out again and remained on 'disconnected'.

The front line staff is very friendly . Good location to dining places . The breakfast porridge is good but not the coffee . Very simple breakfast - toast and cereal .

Everything is good except for tiny room and poor Housekeeping. Location is great, can walk to Namdaemun market, Myeongdong and Euljiro1-ga. Lots of eateries outside hotel. Do note that hotel is nearest to City Hall stn exit7 but has stairs only. If you have huge luggage, will advise to walk further down to Exit5 escalator and across the road of Exit5 you can find lift. Staffs are friendly however Housekeeping not good. They basically pour away the coffee from room’s cup without washing, the coffee stain so obvious!

Friendly and helpful staff and great space, small but good enough for the price. The hotel is central located in City Hall so its easy to navigate around. Lotsa of eating places and Namdaemun Market is just right across. Only one flaw was that my room was cleaned even with the "do not disturb" sign, so just take note on that. Otherwise it is a great hotel, and would definitely comeback to stay.

Everything is good, check-in and check-out was quick and easy, friendly and helpful staffs, clean and quiet room, the room is bigger than expected, spacious enough for 3 luggage to lie flat on the floor, comfortable bed, decent breakfast, good wifi, good location, many restaurants nearby, the hotel is just few mins away from subway. Cons: Inconsistent water temperature in shower.

A tiny clean hotel in city town

It is a tiny hotel in city town. Many local restaurants and attractions near by. The hotel is relatively clean, but the room is too small (just like Japan's hotel).

Good location, 6 mins walk to Myeongdong, but without the expensive price of staying in Myeongdong. The rooms are small, not much room to put 2 luggages or walk around. But the beds and pillow are comfortable, place is clean and there is even free breakfast. Overall a good stay if you’re not fussy.

Fantastic place to stay

I am very satisified with the friendly service starting when I checked in and until the day I left the place. Staff are very friendly and polite. Although the room is quite small it is very clean with the amenities I need during my whole stay. The locationis conveniently located to a lot of tourists spots. I will definitely recommend this place and stay again in my next visit.

Good but could be improved

The hotel is good overall, good location, clean and in good condition, staff is nice and the price is good too. However a few negative points: the walls are quite thin, so if the rooms on the sides happen to be noisy it's hard to sleep... It happened a few nights during our 6 nights stay, noise until 3am when we needed to wake up at 6am to go on a tour, it kind of ruin the next day. Also the room we were in was quite small, just enough space to walk from the door to the bed, no space to put the luggage. Last thing: the hotel offers a korean traditional breakfast: a chicken porridge, and delivers it to the room which is nice. But the quantity is a bit ridiculous, about a mug of it, so had to buy more breakfast outside.

Good location. Clean room. Pleasant staff.

The hotel is close to CityHall Station Exit 7 and Airport Limousine Bus 6005. It’s at an alley with many restaurants and a convient store. Breakfast is complimentary with choices between Korean porriage (need to book in advance to be sent to your room) and toast (self service). Staff are cheerful. I’d recommend this hotel.

nice boutique hotel in Myeongdong

The room is small but clean. I understand what other reviews mentioned about hearing the shower from the other room but the noise was minimal and doesn't bother much. Overall, it was a nice boutique hotel.

First Stay Hotel is in the perfect location for a quick trip to Seoul and surrounded by good places to eat and drink. The bed is extremely comfortable. Overall, a great value.

NICE HOTEL NEAR MYEONGDONG

Convenience, provide breakfast, near subway station. But taxi driver can't find the hotel, so better take train or bus if you come from airport. We also took airport bus at The Plaze hotel to Incheon Airport, very near the distance from First Stay hotel to The Plaze hotel.
