We’ve stayed here twice and both times have been exceptional! The hotel location is very convenient, literally on top of a subway station and across the street from the bus stop. So it’s very convenient for those taking the airport limo bus from incheon airport. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is really good too!

This hotel is pretty convenient with lotte supermarket and dining options and subway exit at basement, its also near to airport buses bus stop. Staff were friendly too. All good, will want to come back again!

The hotel is conveniently located right above a subway station. This station is also connected to subway lines that both run directly to the airports, about 35 for Gimpo and 1hr and some change for incheon. Gongdeok (the station right below it) is 20 minutes from Hongdae by bus, 20 from Myeongdong by subway but the station, Gongdeok, is way less crowded than either of those which I appreciated. The mini 7 Eleven was nice as well. It's a little pricey, but I still very much highly recommend it.

Don’t expect to be able to charge your devices!!

One thing is for sure this location needs to catch up with the tech needs. Zero plugs around the bed. You need to charge a device, you need to go on an exploration of the room. I don’t get it. There’s more plugs in the bathroom than the room itself. For a country that prides itself on tech these hotel rooms leave a lot to be desired. I and one of my kids stayed here many times. I think I’m done. You need extension cables at this hotel. I ended up having to plug everything into my laptop to charge. Pretty bad when your laptop becomes an expensive battery charger due to insufficient hotel design.

We travel frequently and invest significant time researching quality hotels and resorts that meet a certain standard. Unfortunately, our experience at LOTTE City Hotel Mapo was deeply disappointing on multiple levels and did not meet even the most basic expectations. To begin with, the rooms were significantly smaller than advertised and appeared old and worn, nothing like the polished, modern images shown on the hotel’s website. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Sadly, this ranks among the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had. Customer service was equally underwhelming. Staff at reception were disengaged, unwelcoming, and offered little assistance when we sought help. The poor service extended to the breakfast buffet, where staff were unapproachable and seemed visibly bothered when asked to prepare simple items like omelettes. We had pre-paid for breakfast across all five days of our stay, but only attended twice due to the low quality of the food, particularly the western options, which were stale and unappetising. Adding to the frustration, we discovered that the hotel pool, prominently advertised as a facility, required an unexpected additional fee of $23 AUD to use. This felt misleading and should have been made clear at the time of booking. The only redeeming aspect of our stay was the cleanliness.
