Truly was a gem in the woods! I loved the idea of this building and it reminded me of our mother in law suite in our backyard. The ability to go thru the bedroom door for faster access to our car was ideal when unpacking and packing up. I loved the simplicity of the place as well. Had everything we needed and we LOVED playing scrabble! I wish there were a few more board games or a deck of cards. I will say that as cute as this place was and how easy it was to go in and out, it was covered in spider webs and jumping spiders. Granted you’re right in the wood line, but the chairs in the front porch looked like they haven’t been touched in months and there were webs wrapped around both chairs and onto the front porch (they were attached by the webs) so we didn’t use the chairs. Inside, there were little spiders in the shower and sinks, but nothing in the bedroom. Just near the water sources. Again, you’re in the woods, so this is expected but I was my expecting this many every day. The bed is also not comfortable at all and is a full spring mattress and the bed legs sit on 4” tall blocks, it’s very sketchy. I decided to sleep on the futon and my husband stayed in the bed. As stated, very cute place and is as pictured, but beware of the spiders if you got a fear for those and beware for you back and neck if you need a non spring mattress to be able to function the next day.

It was the perfect size and was super clean! Just far enough away from the busyness so there is so much peace, but you can get to everything so quickly.

Not so cozy or clean

The property had large cobwebs everywhere. We left our belongs in our vehicle so that spiders didnt end up in our clothes or shoes. The bed sheets & pillowcases were dirty. We had to purchase sheets for our comfort. The unit that was on the wall did not warm the house at all. It didnt even come on, we had the temp set at 80, but it was still cold. The space heater that was provided worked, but we had to move it to whatever part of the house we were in because it only heated a small space. The cord also gets really hot, to the point where we were afraid it might blow the socket/start a fire. We didnt use the provided utensils, but we couldnt anyway because they were also dirty. I would not stay again & I would not reccomend anyone I know to stay if they were to visit Tennessee.

I reduced my review on Vacasa (the property management company) because they refuse to believe their own head of maintenance that the water heater needs a new anode rod die to the extremely terrible rotten egg smell of the hot water. The no-nothings higher up than maintenance think just running the water will eliminate the smell, but it will only last a day or 2 and will be back. The smell returned 2 days after they flushed it, as I checked it as we left the property to go home.
