Add the weekly farmers’ market, a wide range of independent specialist shops, lovely coffee shops, the many traditional pubs and inns which offer good food and beers, the interesting mix of buildings and you have the ideal place to discover on your holiday. Visit Bridgnorth with its renowned funicular railway or take a trip on the Severn Valley Railway to experience the delights of the bygone era of steam travel. If you like walking, there are plenty of places to visit, including the Long Mynd, Clee Hills or Stiperstones. Telford is only 20 miles away and the Ironbridge Gorge with Blists Hill Museum and numerous activities for sunny or wet days. Ludlow with its castle and reputation for good eateries and art shops is 30 minutes’ away.
