Facilities broken in top suite room - poor service

Day 1) Some minibar drinks were already opened, and although asking, new ones never arrived. Then later that night heavy rain flooded the room to about 2cm of water, luckily not reaching our bags. In the morning we were greeted by a large (yet cute) mouse. Day2) after touring the temples we wanted to make use of the jacuzzi bath, only to find the hot water ran out after filling it only about 5cm. Thinking we could wait a few minutes for the hot water to return, we then noticed that the plug wasn't good enough and water was leaking straight out of the tub. We called maintenance who couldn't fix the issue and they suggested we use the other suite rooms jacuzzi, but that had the same problem. We weren't best pleased with this option and opted for a simple shower, which was also almost unusable as it had two temperatures scolding hot or cold. Again the other room didn't really solve this issue. Then the toilet broke. We waited by the pool (which has cloudy water) for three hours as maintenance worked in the room. Eventually we went up to check to find the room flooded again and maintainence gone. We phoned reception to ask if it was fixed, it wasn't, and we had to ask them to come back to clean the room. We were told we could use the toilet in another room, or change to a smaller room that smelled of damp. Had to negotiate a discount. Went to another hotel for $40 which had a special, that had wonderful facilities and service, and came with an excellent massage for two.

A very unique hotel, with unique very Cambodian style decor. We were upgraded to a better room , and enjoyed our stay!

Old and scary hotel.

Have to wait 2pm then get my room. Room was big but eerie due to many status inside the room. Making it dark. Bathroom is outside with just a curtain to cover. Breakfast was so plain. No lifts so you to carry the stuffs up.

A unique hotel

Wonderful hotel, feels like you're walking through a temple! The rooms are unique with a lovely private balcony and shower in the room! Maybe not great for sharing with a friend. The decor was as if you were in a temple. Great location, walking distance to nearby shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.

You can't find a better location in Siem Reap

Location, location, location. This is what this hotel is all about. You're literally 5 minutes away from everything you might need - food, shops, markets, massages...Well, you might wait 20 minutes to get a beer at the swimming pool, but you really don't care as long as you're on vacation. There is no elevator, but the guys from the hotel always help with the luggage. The breakfast was surprisingly delicious, but we had to pay for the espresso

Great hotel with traditional Khmer theme.

Wonderful helpful staff. Great attention to detail with Angkor Wat themed rooms which were rather startling but very comfortable. Would thotoughly recommend this hotel.

A real treat - each room is like something out of a film set, stunning terraces and roof top pool. Great breakfast, staff and location - impossible to fault.

Good location

Great location, within walking distance of Pub Street, convenient for going to restaurants for dinner. The room decoration is unique, with designs inspired by the Angkor Wat temples. The decoration can make people feel uneasy though, since there are several representations of Bouddha facing the bed.

mosquito room

awful..... I stayed 205. when i entered the room good but the smell is bad. cuz of pond in the room. and i asked them to move another room without no pond. but no room without it. moved 104 n asked them to remove whole water of pond. btw there are so many mosquito in room 104 n bad smell,too. holly.... for 4 days with my honnymoon went so terrible.. and... I lost camera charger in the room valued $120. .

princely accomodation

As I entered my room I was struck speechless: never seen anything so nice. Both the shower and the water basin are in an elevated position, on top of a water pool where lotus flowers are floating (they are changed every couple of days). The building itself is a colonial style artifact, with beautiful stairways and a roof top swimming pool. The hotel is surely the best located in Siem Reap: just across the street is the antique market, some 50 meters aways flows the river and on the other side there is the night market, plus "pub street" is just a couple of steps away. In summary: great location, fantastic looking building, amazing room interiors, staff extremely attentive and courteous. An unforgettable experience which I would like to repeat.

Great concept hotel in good location

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and layout of my room. I had visited the restaurant 2 years ago on a previous trip and loved the food and ambience. Knowing how convenient it was to Pub Street and the Night Markets, when I saw the reasonable price, I booked it. I loved the temple theme and the lotus pool with the running water in the room. It really enhanced my Angkor Wat experience. Although I loved my room, I know it would not be for everyone as you have to cross the bridge to use the WC then cross another bridge for the sink and shower. But for me, I loved it. It's not your everyday room. There is construction on the back side of the property but it did not bother me. I enjoyed the rooftop pool. The breakfast was very good. Staff was a friendly, efficient and helpful. The reception area could use some lighting to make it warmer and more inviting. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay here.
