The concept of shared bedroom and kitchen is nice! The room and amenities are clean. The only downside is that sharing a bedroom with 7 others can affect sleep quality if you are sensitive to noise.

I hadn’t stayed at a spot like this before, but I found the unique experience suited me well! I really enjoyed my stay at The Block. I booked a twin bed in the male-only 8-bed room and it was great! Super clean, comfortable bed, well kept common areas and bathroom. The bar was especially superb. Struck up a great convo with the bartender and talked hockey for hours. I didn’t need to use the community kitchen or other facilities, but they appeared to be just as good as everything else. I highly recommend The Block if you’re looking for a unique experience at a very affordable rate. 5 stars isn’t enough!!
