The Granary is a superb, Yorkshire stone single-storey annexe, attached to Ivy Cottage, a 16th century Yorkshire Dales farmhouse. It has been newly built in 2012 and is all on one level, modern, light and with exposed beams. It is just one of the cottages at Ivy Farm Cottages and has its own private hot tub. The hot tub is private and undercover, on the south-facing, decked patio, allowing you to take a soak whatever the weather. It is the ideal place to unwind after a day out exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The Granary has been stylishly refurbished over the years and offers guests a comfortable retreat, all on one level, with either superking a twin bed arrangement. Ivy Farm and cottages are no longer a working farm although you will still have all the sights and sounds of the country on your doorstep. Situated in the quiet village of Carleton-in-Craven, just 2 miles and within comfortable walking distance from the town of Skipton, known as The Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Carleton has a village pub, a very good well stocked village store, pharmacy, regular bus service into town and some great walks taking you around the village across open countryside, hills and moors. The Granary is all open plan with large bi-folding doors which make the whole space very bright and airy There is parking for one car in the adjacent private forecourt to the cottages. Sorry, but we do not take pets/dogs.

This is a beautifully kept property, sparkling clean everywhere(especially the hot tub which is the cleanest one I've ever been in!), very well planned layout and classily decorated. The garden, although small, is well designed and feels totally private despite residences on either side - we never heard or saw anything from either neighbour. The whole patio area, including the hot tub, is protected from the elements by a lean to roof and feels really sheltered - we sat out for breakfast both mornings even though the temperature was only 7 or 8oC and felt comfortable.The hosts supplied everything to make our stay a home from home, including a jug of milk on arrival, ice cubes in the freezer, tea and coffee supplies, and lovely toiletries in the bathroom (which has a very spacious walk in double width shower). The large TV is welcome when the weather isn't great, there's a fire for cosy evenings plus central heating, and there are even board games provided if that's your thing! Friendly hosts (we met Sally on the first morning and had a lovely chat) who were very responsive and communicative when we made various enquiries. The village where the cottage is located is very quiet and peaceful, and Skipton is easily accessible via a short (less than 2 miles) walk along a quiet footpath, or if preferred alongside a road, on pavements. I visited with a friend, but liked it so much I plan to return with my husband later on the year. Very happy to recommend!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at The Granary over Christmas. The accommodation was cosy, peaceful, and beautifully decorated for the season, which made it feel extra special. One of the highlights of our stay was unwinding in the hot tub at the end of the day. It was private, relaxing, and the perfect way to switch off.Sally was a fantastic host and kindly checked in with us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a lovely three night stay in the Granary. The cottage was vary welcoming when we arrived and had everything we needed. It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We loved the private garden and hot tub. We are hoping to return and would definitely recommend.

This was a fab booking, really enjoyed the cottage and the hot tub was spotless! Sally’s guest book was one of the best I’ve seen, with great directions for us to follow when we wanted to walk to Skipton. Just a few steps to get inside, but once you're there, everything is om one level with lots of extra's like addressing gown, tea, coffee, great TV and,should you be traveling with someone younger, a hottub.
