Lovely stay

Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. Very friendly staff and lovely comfortable room. This was our second stay here and I would say rooms have been refurbished since our last stay.

The room was clean and the en-suite really nice, although the windows were old and the table surface area for all things very small. The food service was very poor, and very slow, although the food was nice and hot when it did come. Staff seemed unaware of basic cleanliness principles and many tables were left uncleaned - eg when my friend asked for a lemon slice with drink it was bought to the garden is the waiters hand, rather than on a plate, and we had to clear tables at initial coffee on arrival ourselves.

Very comfortable room, lovely setting, friendly staff. Plenty of parking and easy check in. The hotel looks a bit tired in the communal areas but it's reasonably priced and definitely a step above budget hotels.
