Surf Crest Village #12 is a beach house in a private oceanfront community in the heart of St Augustine Beach. This beach themed 2-story home has a large upper deck and lower porch just steps from the beach walkway. The house is comfortable and nicely furnished with 2 living rooms (equipped with leather sofas and recliner chairs), 4 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and 2 full bathrooms (1 walk-in shower, 1 tub). Cable and wireless internet are included. The first floor has a living room, bath, a bedroom with 2 twin beds, and a bedroom with a king bed. Upstairs is the 2nd living room, kitchen and dining area, bath and 2 bedrooms. One with king bed and one with queen bed. Two #12 labeled parking spaces are provided. Surf Crest Village has a secured community pool, gated walkway to the ocean and a gazebo. The house is great for vacationers who enjoy the privacy of a beach house rental with community amenities.

The only thing great about this property was the location, a 1 minute walk to the beach. The cottage was outdated but functional, when we arrived the it appeared that nothing had been cleaned, the showers had red and black mildew and the grease on the stove and backsplash appeared to not have been wiped in sometime, and the bed sheets had bugs in them. I purchased bleach and paper/plastic plates and utensils because I didn’t trust that anything had been cleaned. The linens provided had cigarettes burns, holes and were threadbare. It was listed as a nonsmoking unit, but the juul that was sitting on the downstairs couch told a much different story.

Ok place to stay.

This house is super close to the beach, which was great! There was plenty of space for everything we needed, good parking. However, we were still disappointed. Despite a fairly recent renovation, everything but the kitchen was dated and the entire house could use a good deep clean. There was dust and grime on all the woodwork and all of the trim in the bathrooms. Even some moldy stuff around the windows and tub in the bathrooms.
