Perfect roadside motel experience

Everything was clean and brand new. The grounds were beautiful and the owner was so welcoming. They had a bonfire going when we arrived and told us about different events happening in the area.

A little gem in St. Ignace!

A wonderful young couple making a go of owning a tiny, knotty pine resort in Michigan’s upper peninsula. It’s quiet, quaint and personal in a great location. They were honest about on going updates and very kind. We will be staying again!

Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, enhanced by the quaint atmosphere, clean rooms, and friendly owners/staff. It was clear they wanted their guests to feel at home. The older building does call for adjustments for handicapped guests, but you can make it work as long as you aren't confined exclusively to a wheelchair.

Quiet, quaint and comfortable!!

The couple that owns and runs the motel are both super friendly and VERY knowledgeable about the area. Rooms and super quiet and quaint. Will stay again if we are ever in the area!

Love this little place! The property is exactly how it should be for an up north adventure -simple old school charm. The owners are so accommodating and kind. They work so hard to ensure your stay is top notch.

Disappointed

I had a bath room accident. There was a small amount of poop on a bath mat. They had to inspect the room before we left. I was totally humiliated. The manger said she worked in a nursing home. She said she had to throw the bath mat out. Gee i wonder what they did in the nursing home throw out all the soiled linen. She used poor judgement when she singled me out. The place was old no Sign of remodeling eg carpet was old and dirty. What was advertised as a fireplace was a cheap old electric fireplace. (Deceitful)Not a good value for your money. My advice in the future for the owners is to learn the word DIPLOMACY. The room was a bit overpriced for the quality. I was totally disappointed in the way i was treated ! By the way i always tip 20% not this time . No tip

This is an old fashioned motel. Family owned and boutique. The rooms have an up north cottage feel. Very well kept, very clean. Everything old is new again vib. Close to St. Ignace and the ferry docks. A bit north of town and quiet.
