Very Awesome Hotel!!!

I can't believe this is a Super 8. I use to think they were like the rundown Motel 6's, but this one is top notch with swimming pool and hot tub, comfortable beds, a really good breakfast where they had foods like omelets, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, fruit. We came on Memorial Day weekend and they decorated the breakfast area too. The parking was nearby, the staff was super friendly, the rate was affordable given the area. They were even able to give a 1st floor room near the a door that exits out the building so that my elderly parents didn't have to walk far or up any stairs. I really appreciated this. There are also some restaurants across the street and next door (sit down and fast food). I would easily recommend this place and if I come back I'm staying here again.

Room was nice. Room was clean. It was quite noisy though. When other rooms near us used water, it was very loud in our room. We were on the ground floor, could hear people walking above us, or rolling their computer chair on the floor.

Good Hotel, staff was not great.

The room and property were great. The staff was not very friendly, they didn't seem happy to be there or ready to welcome guests. The breakfast was not at all welcoming, there was not much there. There was coffee, but no bread for toast, and there was syrup but nothing to put it on. There were only a couple apples that were shriveling. Not much at all in the small cooler. We left and went somewhere else to eat. When we checked out again the staff was uninterested.

The view of the Big Mac Bridge is so nice. There was a hint of marijuana in the hall when we arrived, but later disappeared. Many construction workers stay there; bless 'em. It was a Sunday.

Our room over looked the convergence of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron and the magnificent bridge connecting the Upper Peninsula with Michigan in the middle. From our private balcony watching the passing ocean going vessels was delightful

There was a lot of confusion during my check-in. The next day I was called down to the front desk and told that I had not been charged enough on my credit card. After that was explained to me, I agreed to an additional charge to complete my three night stay. Following that my credit card was charged repeatedly in different amounts. The manager, Danielle, was rude and unhelpful, very defensive, and a very poor representative of good customer service! She continued to charge my credit card even after I checked out and left the property. I had to get help from Expedia customer service, and put a lock on my credit card in order to prevent this property from processing additional charges
