Amazing place!
Yes it’s in a gas station parking lot - but it’s not your average, sketchy station. It is a nice clean station. There is also a coffee/gift shop on the other side of the station, as well as another small shop. Both are lovely and have souvenirs to purchase (coffee/chocolates/huckleberry jams/Rowe Casa products/taffy candy/stickers)
Yes the highway is right in front of the lodge - the road noise can be loud, but if you are from the south and are accustomed to needing noise to sleep, turn on the AC unit and youll go right to sleep.
Yes you have to drive 8 miles north to Ninepipes for breakfast - but the drive is gorgeous and the food is worth the trip.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The cabin has great views of the mountains. And the space is perfect and cozy for a couple. We would 10/10 stay at this lodge again.
This room apparently has been recently renovated. It was clean. What was needed, because the weather turned unexpectedly cold, was an extra blanket. We had to call another office down the road to get a code to get in the room. The phone rang for 10 minutes until they answered. So be sure to call there before 10pm to get the code! The receptionist might be happier;!
The first room we checked into had a broken bed. They moved us to another room. We were told we would be moved back to original room the next day. Not knowing expectations I called and was told to stay where we were which did. Otherwise it was a good stay. We stayed there years ago, under prior owners. It is very different and much cleaner. We will stay again.
Interior was incredibly dark. One overhead light with a fan that could not be turned off. One night stand with one light and that’s it. No dresser and only 2 hangers. Had to use the light on our phone to find the coffee maker. Never, ever again.
Had to switch cabins as toilet had no water to flush. Next cabin had bad lamp by the bed that was touch activated that changed without touching when it worked. Heater in bath had no knob. Heat/ac fan had a squeal. Cabin was pretty dark inside.
Located next to gas station and highway. Some highway noise, but slept through it. The cabins are adorable! Easily unload from car to cabin. Assistance phone number tied to 24 hour answering service. Daisy was pleasant to work with and get self check in directions. Excellent view of mountains. CKST Bison Range close by ( highly recommend to see wildlife and very scenic red route taken.) Spotted 2 black bears, diamondback rattlesnake, elk, prong, bison and antelope in safety of the car.
We found the cabin to be clean and comfortable, the staff in the store are very friendly and helpful.

They don’t tell you that you are sleeping in a gas station parking lot. Beds are broken. Way over priced

The cabin was fine for an overnight. But is noteworthy that is in a gas stayion parking lot on a busy highway. That just is what it is, but one of our beds had a very old mattress that was saggy and uncomfortable.
No sign indicating where the motel is and upon finding out where it was I found no one there to assist or check me in. The number they left to call did not work and I had to drive 40 minutes to their other location to get checked in.
The cabins were located in the Conoco Gas Staion parking lot. Carpet was stained and filthy. Bad lighting. Thin curtains so the gas station lights shone in. No one there to check in - called a # and got a code
