A perfect spot for two couples to have their privacy in their own rooms on separate levels with separate entrances. The main level has a kitchen and living room with a large deck and private pool, so great for everyone to hang out together. The lower level is a studio with private bedroom and bathroom.
Also very nice for a family of 4 with older children. The beautiful view and landscape will make it hard to leave. Your own private pool, large deck to lounge, fully equipped kitchen, very clean and close to town! Luxury bedding and linens for quality comfort.

Ylang Ylang is a very comfortable place for two couples, ideally located near Cruz Bay. Great communication from Kyle throughout our stay. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. Loved the patio and the pool. This was our first time staying in the Cruz Bay area, and we loved being so close to town. Appreciate the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, beach amenities, etc. We would stay here again.

Perfect Location

The house was only a short drive from the ferry dock. Beautiful view and wonderful pool. The bedrooms were air conditioned and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, paper products, dishes, pans, glasses, etc.The host messaged me with arrival instructions and was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Choice

We just came back from a week's stay at Ylang Ylang. The property descriptions and photos are all very accurate. It is high quality, clean, well-maintained and stocked with everything you need. It was perfect for two couples - 2 good-sized bedrooms with king size beds, adjoining bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen and living room area. The very large deck is a wonderful amenity with the private pool, high-quality Frontgate furniture, loungers and large dining table, grill, and then there's the spectacular view looking down on Cruz Bay, the ocean beyond and St. Thomas. You definitely need to either rent a jeep or take taxis as the better beaches (Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay & others are several miles away. While persons who have no mobility issues can walk to town, it is very steep with narrow roads and no sidewalks and walking back up, particularly at night, is not advisable. Kyle, who manages the property, was very pleasant and responsive and great to deal with. We hope to return in the future!

The View + Location = Perfection

Our first visit to St. John was fantastic, and we’ll definitely be coming back! We arrived early and were thrilled to find the condo ready for us. The check-in process was a breeze, thanks to Kyle’s excellent communication. The condo itself was spotless, modern, and cozy without being cluttered. The outdoor deck offered a breathtaking view of Cruz Bay—absolutely a 10! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, the bathrooms had plenty of products and essentials, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Traveling with friends was a great experience, as there was ample space for both privacy and group gatherings. The location couldn’t be better—just a short drive to Cruz Bay’s restaurants and only a 10-minute drive to some of the Caribbean’s best beaches. We enjoyed exploring Mongoose Junction where parking was a bit easier, but we also drove to Cruz Bay restaurants, where parking was available for a small fee. The condo came with 3 beach chairs, a cooler, 4 beach towels, and noodles, making it perfect for beach-hopping. We highly recommend this condo and the beautiful island of St. John!

Peaceful getaway

Absolutely loved everything about this property! The location, the views and the bed! The house had everything we needed and more. The pool was a perfect size for 4 adults and the drive into Cruz Bay landing only took us about 4min. In fact, we ate at High Tide 3x because it was just so easy to get too. The host, Kyle was there to assist every step of the way and provided some great info. Thankful this property had a generator because the island is experiencing rolling black outs. Would stay here again!

The BEST!

We’ve stayed all around the west side of the island and Ylang Ylang was one of the top places we’ve stayed! It was perfect for our group of four. Kyle could not have been nicer or more accommodating. He was very responsive and extremely helpful. So many great recommendations! The beds were both so comfortable, the view was exceptional, and the house left us wanting for NOTHING! Seriously, it was well stocked with so many thoughtful amenities! 10/10 would highly recommend and would definitely book again!! Can’t wait to return! Thank you.

Absolutely breathtaking views! Perfect stay for 4 people. The patio and pool area was great. Beach equipment was so nice to have. Must have a Jeep or use taxi to town, because of hill, but very close to Cruz Bay which is nice. Would definitely stay here again, did not disappoint. Communication with Kyle was great and he offered so much information about the island.

Great location and nicely appointed

Perfect for a group of three. Downstairs bedroom was great to escape to from the teens each night. Right up the street from Cruz bay. Easy access to get to roads to the beaches. Everything clean and modern. Kitchen had allclad pans, Henkel knives and a vitamix. What more can I say about that? Plunge pool was perfect to chill after blending that pina colada and enjoy the view over Cruz bay. Kyle was super helpful and knowledgeable about island.

We spent a week as a group of 3 in this beautiful, convienently located, home for an incredible St. John trip. Kyle was more than attentive to any communications or needs throughout our stay. It's a quick (steep) drive from Cruz Bay which led to plenty of opportunity to pop out when needed and there's an easy turn around right beside the driveway. The 2 story layout provided privacy for everyone staying without feeling disconnected. The pool is small but was perfectly sized for cooling off or hanging out after a warm day. We did find the living room/Kitchen area to be pretty warm and played around with windows/fans to try to get it just right but overall struggled to spend much time in the space (but you're not in St. John to hang out on a couch indoors anyway!)

Great Property, View, and Hospitality

We loved Ylang Ylang!! This property is located in Cruz Bay with a gorgeous view of the port and the beautiful water that stretches across to St. Thomas. Sunsets are spectacular from the deck! Even though the villa is located conveniently to several markets and is literally only 2 minutes from the main businesses of Cruz Bay, it still feels secluded and private, which was important to us. The accommodations at Ylang Ylang were great, with a full kitchen, two spacious bedrooms, two full baths, and a washer and dryer for laundry. All appliances are modern and nice. We made coffee every morning and blended cocktails in the evenings! The living room is big with a full glass front wall and sliding door that allows you to see the view at all times and lets in tons of natural lighting. The villa is designed to be opened if you wish, with multiple large sliding windows and doors that allow the island breeze to flow through. We loved this feature and the pleasant tropical smell of the cool fresh air! In the bedrooms, the beds are big and very comfortable (a huge factor we always look at), and the air conditioning keeps everything nice and cool. We normally just operate out of our luggage, but there are plenty of drawers and closet space. The porch/deck is amazing! Half is covered, and the other half is open to the sunlight, with shades available for extra privacy and fans to keep the air circulating (even though the constant breeze is nice). We had six adults in our party, and there is no shortage of furniture, between plush couches, loungers, an outside table with seating for eight, and sun chairs. Also on the deck is the pool, which we loved. It is a smaller pool, but big enough for six adults to relax and enjoy the sunset in. It is a great feature. I also think its important to note that the hand rails around the deck were very sturdy and modern looking. No safety issues what-so-ever! Another great benefit is all of the beach equipment that is available to its guests. We were very happy to have beach chairs, snorkeling gear, foam noodles for floating, frisbees, and a cooler. We never had to rent any gear. Now to the host, Kyle was awesome! He stayed in contact with me prior to our trip and greeted us upon arrival at the villa. Kyle is a genuinely friendly person with a great island vibe and is eager to help, making sure each day that we had everything we needed. He gives you your space but answers calls/text immediately!

Wonderful location and rental

This is the 4th VRBO we have rented in St. John in the past year and a half, and by far, the best. In my opinion, the location is one of the best on the island because of the incredible views and quick location to the town and other prime beach locations. I can not express enough how excellent the host manager Kyle was. He was constantly checking in with us, which I have never experienced at any other property I have ever rented. On the same day of our check-in, he also had a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board at our rental with little notice. He was so responsive and gave tons of information regarding the island. The rental was updated and had everything we could need for our 10-day stay. I recommend this condo to anyone staying on the island, and I can't wait to return next year!

Above and Beyond

My family and I stayed at Ylang-Ylang for 10 days to celebrate our daughters graduation and enjoyed every minute of it! Of course, we all know that you come here for the beaches but the hospitality and clear communication with Kyle was above and beyond and definitely what stood out the most. My husband and I both agreed while we were there that we’ve never, in all of our years traveling, had an experience like we had here. Kyle was attentive to anything we might have needed and was willing to go out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. No exaggeration, we wanted lobster for dinner and it wasn’t easily available to us, so Kyle was able to get one for us through a fisherman buddy of his, who even does that?!?! The house was perfectly described in the description and all of the amenities needed for a smooth stay were easily accessible. No doubt, if we are ever able to return to the island, we will be looking up this same listing! Thanks again Kyle, it was a trip our family will never forget!!

Property Manager Makes It!

We booked Ylang Ylang for a family vacation to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary. Much to my dismay, VRBO canceled our reservation because the owners sold the property. Within a few days, the new owner contacted me directly to let us know that we could still rent the property. From that point on, he was absolutely wonderful, and honestly, made the place 5 stars. He was incredibly responsive, without being overbearing, and so kind. I really appreciated how invested he seemed in our enjoying our vacation! The property has an incredible view. It is up an extremely steep hill, so that the proximity to town is not really a walkable perk. I was envisioning us walking to Cruz Bay for dinner, but with children in tow, that was not even a glimmer of a reality. The pool is very small (more like a large bathtub), but was sufficient for a relaxing dip after a long day at the beach and on the trails. Our kids enjoyed splashing around in it while we sat and had a drink. An unintended benefit was that it was not deep, so I was not as nervous about them swimming. As far as the house goes, it would be perfect if everything were cosmetically upgraded. All of the furniture was very worn down (the chaise loungers had holes in them), and just looked, and felt, tired. The AC units worked perfectly, as did the ceiling fans. One bedroom is on the lower level, and is accessed through an outdoor stair. While I thought it would be annoying to type the passcode in any time the kids needed to come upstairs, they found it really fun. This layout provides a lot of privacy, if two couples are sharing the space. All in all, the house was great--it just needs a complete facelift. The property manager was the saving grace; he was really excellent, and I imagine that he will make the needed upgrades in no time.
