Only downside was its downtown St.Johns, and that makes the area sketchy. We heard gun shots going off fairly close to the hotels property. But that has nothing to due with the hotel itself, just the location.

Vandals and lack of maintenance and security

The parking lot is not a safe place to leave your vehicle. Vandals beat out someone’s car window and threw gravel at my truck. My truck had the tunnel cover cut open there during a previous trip before Christmas. The air conditioner in our room didn’t work. It kept changing to 28 degrees Celsius every few hours. Housekeeping came to look at it, couldn’t fix it and we’re supposed to send someone from maintenance but nobody from maintenance showed up. Each night we woke up sweating and were that hot, they could have made gravy on us.

The staff were really friendly. But was a leak of towels at the pool and the floor outside the pool area was very slippery. After getting in out room you can tell it was a rush clean there was still dirt on the floor and could tell it wasn’t mopped. There was dirt in the shower and towel as well and hand prints on the windows and finger prints on the laps. There was hockey tournament in the area and the children was just running around the hotel and yelling. No adult supervision

Our stay was amazing. We travel plenty for hockey with our daughter. This hotel has been the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. Its design is classy and clean. My daughter said the staff are “chill.” We will always be coming here for any city trip.
