Lovely hotel, spacious room with balcony with lovely view. Great pool and beach. Able to use the kayaks. Saw turtles just in the hotel bay. P felt helpful staff. Would definitely visit again.

This resort has potential, it is very nice but some areas need better upkeep. The food was actually decent, no complaints really. Drinks were mediocre as expected. Now the hospitality needs improvement. Most of the workers were very helpful, kind and friendly but I’ve noticed that the workers aren’t as attentive to the people of color as they are to others and I’m not the only person who feels this way.

The nightly entertainment was excellent. The vibe team was friendly and interacted with the guest. The beach was clean with plenty of beach chairs. Ton of activities for both children and adults.

Very tired staff overworked and not happy . Check in process terrible huge waits . Long line for restaurants and the buffet runs out of food. Some of the restaurants they say are open are not . Not worth the money. Would not come back or to any other Royalton property.

My husband, 12-year old daughter and I spent 4 nights at the Royalton Antigua. This was our first all-inclusive vacation and while it was a bit pricey, we got what we wanted which was 4 days of pure relaxation. Our room was comfortable, the resort's grounds were lovely and the private beach was breathtaking. There were lots of activities during the day and at night to keep the family entertained such as yoga, aqua-fit, beach volleyball, cricket, foam parties, sip-and-paint, hikes, game shows, cultural performances, karaoke, live music and other kid-specific activities. While I read some reviews complaining about how loud it was around the pool area, personally I did not think the Vibes Team (who are charged with with the entertainment program) overdid it. In fact they were fun and encouraged guests to participate (without being too pushy). There was a variety of dining options at the resort, and (contrary to some reviews) we were able to get reservations at the 3 a-la-carte restaurants. We also loved the coffee/ice-cream shop. Our main complaint was that the food at the various restaurants was unremarkable - a bit bland for our Caribbean palate and my husband actually got quite sick after eating at the Italian restaurant. The service there was also horrendously slow (it took us 2 hours to get our food) and we heard other guests complaining about the same thing. Other than that though, it was generally a pleasant stay.

The property was well manicured. The restaurants were very good. The buffet selection was excellent however they could be kept warmer. The staff was amazing.Mr Awesome especially. The events during the day were well rhought out from yoga to boot camp and aqua fit etc. The beach is beautiful. and the entertainment at night was nice.

The main concern was how rude the staff are. They are attempting to make improvements but this tremendously affected our time in Antigua. The bathroom in our room also needed some care. The food was just ok.

The actual property is excellent. Great beach, updated rooms. However, the service is subpar. For a supposed luxury experience, it misses the mark. Staff are generally rude and apathetic. The hotel is slow to reply to emails, if ever. Staff are rarely pleasant, barely telling you hello. Worst of all was how they handle issues. We booked a room for 3 people, were given 1 king bed and a pull out, the pull out was broken. We made a complaint, and for 3 days, were told it would be checked, and they would see if we could get a room with two beds ( this was requested at booking). Finally, after letting our ‘butler’ know how many times we complained to the front desk and night butler, a rollaway bed was finally brought on the last night. The hotels air conditioning stopped working for the last two days, and only one elevator worked for a part of the trip. Food was mediocre. Reservations were hard to get despite having diamond club. The hotel never asked for reservation time preferences, so changing reservations were impossible. We had dinner at 9pm when most items were finished. Truly disappointing. The beach is beautiful though, but good luck getting a beach chair, since staff come clear away towels and guests hog them by leaving personal items as they go for lunch.
