Would Not Recommend – Disappointing Stay at Royalton CHIC Antigua
Check-In Process:
Our experience started off poorly. We arrived at 1 PM but weren’t able to check in until 7 PM—a frustrating six-hour wait. Despite providing our flight details in advance, our room was still not ready. What’s the point of asking for arrival times if the hotel doesn’t prepare accordingly?
Customer Service & Staff Attitude:
The majority of the staff were rude and had an attitude. Bartenders, servers, and even front desk employees acted like they were doing us a favor instead of providing hospitality. Management was nowhere to be seen, and there was no effort to ensure guests were happy.
Dining Experience:
• Olympus Restaurant: This is supposed to be an à la carte restaurant, but the food is the same as the buffet with very limited choices. Service was extremely slow—our group ordered three drinks, and it took over an hour for the last one to arrive.
• Pescario Restaurant: This so-called seafood restaurant is a joke. Out of ten items on the menu, only four contain seafood. If you’re not a Diamond Club member, don’t even bother—it’s a waste of time and money.
Food Quality & Variety:
The food selection is very limited and repetitive. Every day, the same dishes appear across the buffet and restaurants, making meals boring and unmemorable.
Diamond Club Discrimination:
Something that Expedia and other booking sites don’t mention is that if you’re not part of the Diamond Club, you’ll be treated
