If you are looking for an affordable place close to the beach and lots of restaurants this is the place for you. Staff were all very nice and restaurant has a fabulous rum punch. Soo many places walkable in the area to eat and you can catch the bus pretty much anywhere. Thouroughly enjoyed my stay :)

Never Again . . This holiday has been my worst experience of Barbados in 38 years. The hotel is dated with little indication of upgrading or serious investment. My room suffered from a regular banging noise throughout day and night, reported, investigated and never rectified. The kitchen area comprised a gas hob, small microwave and the noisiest refrigerator ever. No separation between kitchen and bedroom illuminated the sleeping area during the night. The shower is ‘not fit for purpose’ the floor is tiled with wall tiles and dangerously slippery. The property next to the hotel was an active construction site, Sunday being the only day of respite. While this is an unavoidable consequence of development, I should have been advised while considering my booking. Barbados can be considered expensive to visitors, this hotel is not ‘value for money’ and for once, ever on the island ‘a waste of time and money’.

The location is great and service from the staff is great. Restaurant is perfectly fine and have a great breakfast. But the walls are paper-thin between the rooms. I heard the people in the room next to mine coughing and snoring all night long. As well as conversation carried right through the walls. It was the only issue.

The hotel is a joy, a place of rest & relaxation. It has a certain low key atmosphere and vibes that makes it unique on the island, in my opinion. This was our third stay, at DBH & it won’t be the last. I should add too, that DBH is in a perfect location, steps to Dover Market, and St Lawrence Gap for restaurants & entertainment. Also it is a short walk up to the main road for buses. And Oistins with its Fish Fry is close by. Barbados is a gem, & Dover Beach adds to its shine

Great staff . Hotel older needs updating. Microwave did not work, no coffee pot, no dish soap or dry towels for dishes. They did bring sm coffee pot but no filters so then they gave us hot pot. Air conditioner worked good. No real Beach i like to walk the beach this location small beach area. Again people super nice so we over looked the rest. If I come back I prefer to stay further north from here with a nicer beach close to restaurants. Food prices higher than I expected. Drinks reasonable.
