Clean comfy and convenient

Very clean and well maintained from public hallways to room. Comfy bed. Pretty good towels and bath linens. Good ac. Looked like new carpet and paint in public areas. Breakfast was slim. Consisted of scrambled eggs, gravy, biscuits, apples and 2 cereals. Coffee but no hot water for tea or oatmeal packets. Other than that it was clean and comfortable and a good value compared to other hotels along our travel route.

Everywhere was dirty. Hallways, elevator and the room was very dirty. There were several pieces of long hair in the bathroom, the chair was nasty, the dust was thick on the vents, the bathroom light switch was disgusting and the blow dryer plug in part was all black and nasty. Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Overall, just felt gross. I couldn't even stomach the thought of eating any of the food at breakfast considering the lack of caring for cleanliness.

Super 8 is a basic motel, but I appreciate that the bedding is comfortable, the room is clean, and the microwave and fridge are handy. I didn't use them this trip, but I have done so in the past (esp when traveling with kids) and it's something I appreciate having as an amenity.

Staff was friendly my guess is that’s why at 10pm there were people still in the pool with kids screaming and running all over the place. We got a room in the 3rd floor and thought it was going to be better, there were kids running and being super loud in the hallway too at 10pm. Room was clean, bed clean too but the place is so deteriorating. For a 1 night stay is ok but not worth the price.

Upon arrival, an altercation was taking place in the lobby. A man was yelling about a strange man in his bed and making a very big scene about being a homosexual or not being a homosexual, about being raped or taken advantage of, etc. A very unkempt woman was wandering up and down the hallway while this man continued to yell at her, at the gentleman at the front desk, at anyone who would listen. The man running the front desk assured me these two were leaving soon. He checked us in and gave me card keys. Upon arriving on the second floor of the Super 8, a foul odor, (sewage?animal excrement?) was noticeably present. We tried both key cards, neither of which worked. We proceeded back down to the front desk and the man at the desk checked and reprogrammed our key cards. Meanwhile, my daughter overheard one of the housekeeping staff say that the police had been called and were on their way intervene in the fracas of the strange man in the bed and the guest who continued to pace the hallway and yell. Back up to the second floor with reprogrammed key cards. The smell had not improved. Once again, key cards would not work. Third strike! Back to the front desk. I asked for a refund and said we would be finding other accommodations. The gentleman at the desk was actually quite congenial and understanding and agreed to refund my 2 nights stay immediately. At least he was a pleasant person, and the lobby was being mopped and freshened. We left immediately!!
