Villa Sunset Martini - Coral Estate

Van Engelenburg at Coral Estate tarjoaa laajan valikoiman korkeatasoisia ylellisyyttä vuokra-huviloita, joissa kaikissa on modernit mukavuudet täydelliseksi mukavuudeksi lomasi aikana.

The property is well-maintained and very comfortable. Well-equipped; the hosts thought of just about everything. They are also very responsive and quick to address questions or concerns. The location is safe and very beautiful. I enjoyed watching and listening to the parakeets out back, and the ocean view is just phenomenal!

Unbeatable View

The view from the pool deck was incredible. We loved early morning iguana & bird spotting and afternoon swims. We made dinner at the house a few nights, opting to dine outdoors while watching the sunset. We found all the cookware we needed to comfortably make our meals. The villa’s location gave us great access to the Northwestern beaches like Playa Porto Mari, Daaibooi, and Cas Abao. The AC units in the 2 bedrooms we slept in worked well, we just followed the 7pm-10am and recommended 24-27C settings. We were out of the home for most of the day, so the heat didn’t really affect us.The house book was helpful. To make cooking easier, we would suggest having quick start guides added for the induction stove and microwave/oven combo, for those unfamiliar with these types of units.Our only issue we had during our stay was being bitten by mosquitoes while at the villa. The front door and pool doors need to be left open to allow airflow to cool the home. The shutters around the home are permanently open with no screens. There are no mosquito drapes and even after spraying OFF, and lighting citronella and being mindful of closing bathroom doors, we were being bitten in the am and overnight. Bring bug spray and perhaps long sleeves & pants. This may also be a problem that ramps up during certain months.Lastly, the soft furnishings could use an update. Living room furniture and pool lounger cushions specifically.Thank you!! We loved our time in Curaçao!

Summer vacation

We enjoyed the stay at the Villa. The pool was nice and the morning greetings from the birds and iguanas never disappointed. The view of the ocean was always worth getting up early in the morning for and I am not an early riser. Even the sporadic rain showers that happened daily were a welcoming surprise.The guards at the check in point were all very friendly and polite. The process getting into the villa was easy. I’m not a nitpicky person but the tiny ants in the kitchen were an extreme nuisance and were relentless. There were traps laid around the ground but they didn’t do much of anything. We used the dishwasher but the utensils came out smelling like fish.That kept us from using the washing machine for fear our clothes would be ruined. The shower in the master bathroom was impossible. It was either cold or scalded your skin off. There was no in between.The master bathroom also had the smell of a campground bathroom and it would drift into the master suite and make the smell in there awful.The breezes that came through the villa were so amazing and enjoyable but we definitely were excited for 7pm when we were able to run the AirCo.We enjoyed our vacation but it was not what we expected. The country is very impoverished and the stray dogs running around is absolutely heartbreaking. The Sun is hot and the ocean is super salty. Like the saltiest ocean ever. Unfortunately we will not be visiting Curacao again but we are happy we were able to experience the island.

Wonderful Stay

Sunset Martini was perfect for our family of 8. The house was clean, check-in was easy, communication was quick and helpful, view and pool were amazing. The kitchen had ample supplied for several at home dinners. There were basic supplies in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathrooms. There were standard American type A & B outlets. Neighborhood was beautiful and secure. Wonderful accommodations that would recommend to anyone.

Great stay at Villa Martini Sunset

We enjoyed our time so much! Close to several wonderful beaches. We had plenty of room for our group of 7. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking utensils, plates, cups, etc. It was also a nice bonus that they provided soap, shampoo, and conditioner! There are plenty of towels, including beach towels. No wash clothes though so if that’s a must for you, you’ll want to pack some. There is generally a great breeze going through when the house is all opened up. We had a few inconveniences but they were quick to get right on things. When we first arrived the trash outside was already full so we just had to keep piling on our bags and eventually just set bags beside the can. Pickup was supposed to be on Tuesday but the company didn’t end up coming until Thursday. Not much they can do about that. The air in the front bedroom quit working and they sent someone out right away the next morning and replaced the unit. Also, just be aware that some of the faucets may be backwards to what you’re used to (for hot and cold). It was very nice to have the pool in the evenings. It rained a couple days we were there so the pool got pretty cloudy and green. But again, I messaged them and someone came the next day. Unfortunately it took a couple days to really clear up but we still enjoyed it. Part of the tropical location. :) We would definitely stay here again. We always felt safe and had good communication with the owner.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in dieser toll gelegenen Villa. Wir hatten mit 8 Personen ausreichend Platz. Es fehlte an nichts. Wir empfehlen einen Satz Wechselbettwäsche, für Gäste die länger vor Ort sind zur Verfügung zustellen. Handtücher waren mehr als genug da. Es war wirklich ein ganz toller Urlaub. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Another lovely stay in Coral Estate

This home is lovely. It was just my husband and I, but it would have worked great for another couple or 2 as well. The 3 bathrooms for the 3 first floor bedrooms was a great set up. Everything was clean and modern. The pool was a fine size. The only thing that wasn't perfect (and it's minor) is that the chase lounges around the pool are not comfortable. I would definitely stay at this house again.

Spring Break 2024

Upon walking through the front door we were greeted by the breathtaking view of the ocean and pool. The photos did not do it justice! We were completely blown away! The space was perfect for our group of 7. We traveled with 3 kids (9,12 & 15) and 4 adults. My 15 year old had the lower level bedroom to herself which I am sure she totally enjoyed. We only ate breakfast at the house and it was fully equipped for what we needed. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. I would highly recommend and I look forward to returning. Thank you for allowing my family to make memories and the opportunity for us to share this experience with my in laws. I truly appreciate you allowing us to stay in your home.

Great property - pictures need updating

When we arrived, the property was not what was pictured. It was similar but a few things were different. The kitchen was updated with new cabinets and a different layout. The pool steps were different. There was a double vanity pictured in the images and none of the bedrooms - on either floor had a double vanity. We were told the property had been updated. I can see that for some of the things, but others it just doesn’t make sense that they would be updated. I’m pretty sure the same set of images are being used for multiple listings. Maybe you will get what is pictured, maybe you won’t. Regardless, the property and resort is hard to beat. The views are beautiful and the area is very secure. We had a great time and if we ever go back to Curacao this is where we’d stay.

Amazing View

The view when walking into this property was amazing. The home is beautiful. I didn't like that two of the bedrooms were downstairs, but we weren't there to stay in the rooms, but to explore the island. The pool was nice to sit in, in the evening. The pool lights weren't coming on at night, that was disappointing. We really enjoyed this lovely home and that view. Thank you

Needs a lot of work

The house needs maintenance and screens! While the location is very beautiful, the house we stayed at had too many issues. I understand electricity is expensive, but you force us to pay $30 extra a day to run the air conditioning. The windows are slotted open all the time. There are no screens in the house and there are many insects that bite. One of the blinds is broken in the kitchen and birds come inside. The clotheslines were tied together in many places instead of being replaced. When you pay a significant amount to add people, I expect toiletries to be increased. Too many issues for such a beautiful location.

We are a family of five. Two parents, two older teens and a 12 yo. All divers. The villa is clean, well-appointed and has amazing views. Tons of room for our family. You simply can’t beat it. It’s a three minute drive down the hill to the beach and resort amenities. The beach is nice, but the real attraction is the house reef Rif Sint Marie, which, in all honesty, was as healthy as any of the other dives we did around the island. We did multiple daytime and late night dives there, exploring both north and south as the currents were very weak. We did a ton of shore diving around the island, and the dive shop at the resort was very helpful and tank rental costs were very reasonable. We ended up renting about 52 tanks over the week, so a few dollars per tank can add up. All in all, this villa is a great option for a family coming to Curaçao. Just know that AC will only run from around 7pm to 10am (if I remember correctly). If you open the back slider and the front door (believe me, it’s so quiet and uncrowded you won’t think twice about it) you’ll have a wonderful breeze flushing through the living room throughout the day. The host was helpful and prompt in their replies. We locked ourself out by accident (the front door locks automatically when closed) but they were quick in providing us with assistance. So happy we spent the week there and not at some hotel or cookie-cutter condo.

Slice of paradise

Perfect spot to relax and get away. It was only my wife and I for the stay. The house would be a great set up for multiple families. The view was perfect and it was so quiet!!! Coral Estates was safe for runs and walks around the property. Nearby beach was perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic villa! The views were absolutely incredible!

We had an incredible time at the villa! Beautiful views on the patio of the ocean. The kids loved unwinding in the pool after a long day at the beach. Loved seeing yellow headed parrots in the trees. The property was clean and had everything we needed.

Family reunion

Wonderful location for a family reunion. We had two of our children with us. All enjoyed the stay. The pool was a great addition where we could cool off while cooking our meals. Very close to beautiful beaches.

Beautiful house!

We recently stayed at this house (5 adults, 4 children between the ages of 5 and 11). It was wonderful! The balcony/pool area with the view of the ocean was just unbelievable. In the morning we sipped coffee looking out at the blue water, while the iguanas greeted us in the nearby trees and birds chirped all around us. At night, we took pictures of the gorgeous sunsets and enjoyed the breeze in the open air living spaces. Everything about the house, and the area it's located in, was extremely peaceful. We had originally planned to stay near Jan Thiel, but then made the switch to this house. What a great decision! We were closer to the most beautiful beaches on the island and far away from the busier areas closer to Willemstad. There are a few things I didn't realize about this house until we arrived. First, two of the bedrooms and one bathroom are located in the back of the house. To get to the bedrooms you must go down the outside stairs near the pool. The bedroom doors have their own separate outdoor entrances, so they aren't ideal for small children or elderly visitors. The outdoor stairs are also next to the pool and can become slippery from splashed water. The layout worked great for us, but is definitely worth mentioning when renting for a family. Next, we read there was an oven in the description and had planned a lot of cooking. The oven is actually a convection oven that is part of the microwave. We made it work, but be aware the cooking space is smaller than a regular oven. When we arrived, one of the air conditioners in the bedrooms didn't seem to be working properly. I reached out to our host and they sent a crew to look at it the very next morning. I was shocked when shortly after, a brand new air conditioner was delivered and installed. The host was extremely attentive and every person who came to work on the house was friendly and helpful. Coral Estate also offers on-site Covid testing, which made getting our 3rd day antigen test and our tests to return home very quick and easy. I highly recommend this house! We had the BEST vacation!

Wonderful stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the villa. Coral estate resorts is a guarded and safe area with wonderful pools, beach and ammenities. Loved the location which allowed us good access to both the north and south end of the island. Had a party of 10 and it was perfect! Pictures are a little deceiving making the home look bigger but it still had plenty of room. Highly recommend this villa!

Amazing holiday week in Curacao

We had a fantastic time at the Sunset Martini villa! We were three couples in our 50s staying at this well-maintained property. Our host provided excellent communication, starting from the booking and all the way to the checkout - most of the time he replied within minutes! We felt very welcome and comfortable at the villa. The view is absolutely stunning, and the pool is very nice. Coral Estate is a 3-minute drive away. There is access to the ocean, large pool, and a very nice restaurant (Karakter). The Estate is located conveniently between Willemstad and Westpunt, so we were able to access most points of interest on the island within 30 minutes. We had a very nice New Year's eve at the villa, and there was a great fireworks show coming from nearby houses. Overall, we had an amazing time on the island thanks to this nice accommodation!
