Room I chose and paid for was given to another guest before we arrived. This ruined our weekend as it was a special occasion. Staff were not bothered and said I should have sent an email.

Hotel is conveniently situated on the high street. Such a lovely setting downstairs with plenty of different seating areas. Outside seating with TV Screens and various cosy areas inside. Staff were friendly and room was spacious and comfy. Really nice stay and would definitely stay here again

Does the hotel have enough staff?

Nice location, the room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Staff helpful and friendly BUT it’s clear that there aren’t enough of them as we had to wait for everything. Check in was slow as the receptionist was dealing with another issue and it seems she had no back up. It was the same at breakfast, there appeared to be only two young staff working the restaurant, there were 7 tables occupied when we placed our order and only one table had food. When we checked out there was another long wait. I certainly don’t blame the staff, I felt very sorry for them. This is a management issue that needs addressing.

Swan Hotel, Stafford

Booked this Hotel for the night whilst attending the Gatehouse Theatre for an event. Theatre was a 5 min max walk away, so very convenient. First time at this Hotel, having used Pub accommodation last time, and this was a step up. Nice large car park at rear, easy access to Hotel reception which was manned. Had pre checked in, so easy check in. Quick wander round Stafford, then back to Hotel for tea, then drinks before pre booked meal, which was delicious, filling and served on time. Room was fine for the night, nothing special but clean, and adequate. We both slept well, and ate a hearty breakfast. Full English was delicious znd again filling. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, food excellent. Would recommend.

What we liked was everything including how busy yet how helpful the entire staff were. Great car park, lovely setting. What we did not like was the slightly dated room, the air conditioner did not work. We know we are in a fantastic position but the noise which we know the hotel cannot do anything but the noise from drunk girls screaming outside at the front of the hotel where we were was really annoying.

Easy to find with good sized car park that’s barrier controlled for extra security. Evening food was DELICIOUS! Comfortable beds and a nice brekkie. Nice travelling stop.

Stopped in 303 avoid the room if it's warm no air con. Asked them to look at it didn't work. They said we will then sort you a fan. Didn't get a fan windows open noise was horrendous all night and even into early hours first night. Second night even worse I had to call the police to get the people in the street playing music until 1am. Paid for a premium room. Then in morning went to charge me again even though I had already paid. Then didn't bother to ask me about my stay. Also never bothered with breakfast as when I went to get my meal then first day forgot my order on the drinks then waited 40 mins for a starter which was beef in a jar with toast. Scotch egg was ok mind when it came.

Great hotel. Good food. Friendly staff.

Great hotel in the very centre of the town with free parking. Staff were very welcoming. Beware of the wine costs. Make sure you ask for a token for the car park when leaving. Car park is not easy to find. Asked a traffic warden who said it was about 100 yards away but we had to go all the way around the one way system Paid £82 but given a receipt for £67
