Hot Tub! Tiny Cabin Retreat near RRG

Wake up in the cozy, vaulted loft of “Small Hūs,” your cabiny escape perfect for two. Enjoy the complimentary morning coffee where “Small Hūs” is tucked *directly* behind a few country homes, and the back half of the property is next to quiet woods. Soak in the large, brand new Nordic hot tub after hiking while the fire is crackling & your food is cooking on the outdoor grill.

5 minutes to the convenience of Stanton grocery stores/food and only a short drive from The Red River Gorge.

The tiny house was custom-built with lots of character, and with that comes a few quirks. Due to natural settling and slight floor shifting, the two side doors are currently out of service. For your comfort and safety, we ask that you use the front and back door exclusively during your stay. Thank you for understanding — we’re always working to improve the space while preserving its unique charm!

When we arrived, there were hundreds of Japanese beetles dead and alive. After reaching out to the host, he said that the cleaning lady had been to the cabin the previous day and cleaned, but the amount of beetles in the cabin suggested otherwise. He said he tried to reach out to the cleaning person to have them come that night which never ended up happening. The cabin itself is lovey and charming. The bugs were a bit much to handle being that they were everywhere in the cabin, including the bed.

We stayed just one night but thought the house was super cute and the description was accurate. We had detailed instructions for check in including directions, door code, and information about a few items that were broken or being repaired. The shower door was off track, but we were told this ahead of time and we were still able to shower. The property is behind another property but we still had a nice view of the mountains and had no difficulty finding the place. My husband unfortunately left his wallet there and the property manager was able to ship it to us! Thank you

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Red River Gorge and at the "Small Hus" cabin. The host(s) were very gracious and were on the spot with back and forth communications. I highly recommend this property and these host(s)!!! 5 star rating!!!

We had a lovely time staying in this tiny cabin. It was cozy and perfect for after a long day of hiking. The hot tub was a great bonus. We were able to prepare meals both on the grill and on the plug-in stovetop that was available. No microwave, but we were able to make due with the stovetop. It did get a little chilly at night, but there is a heater you can use and a few blankets. Bed was comfy and clean. Would stay again!

From the pictures online, this place looked really nice, but when we arrived, it was actually located in the backyard of a doublewide. The view was nothing like what was shown in the listing — you look down and see all their stuff scattered around. When we got there, the shower door was off the tracks and wouldn’t stay closed. We contacted the host and were told a cleaning lady was going to come fix it, but no one ever showed up. The host didn’t respond at all the first night and barely replied the second day. We ended up having to drive all the way back home just to shower. There also wasn’t a hammock as advertised, and dogs barked all night long. To make matters worse, we were woken up the next morning by a large pit bull standing right at our door. After all the inconvenience and trouble, we only received a 10% refund, which didn’t even cover the fuel it took to drive back home to shower.

Cabin was very clean and pictures were accurate. However, locating it, getting checked in, obtaining WiFi and getting the owners/managers on the phone was a tough task. The cabin isn't clearly marked. It's located behind another house. The driveway with the cabins address doesn't go to the cabin. The driveway going up to the cabin was through a yard that required 4 wheel drive and a vehicle with a high clearance. The "road" is completely washed out. No prior messages on how to check in or the WiFi code. There's no cell phone service to contact the host so I had to go knock on nearby neighbors door at 8pm to see if they knew how to get a hold of the host. Luckily they were extremely helpful. I got the actual door code from said random neighbor but still no Wi-Fi. I had to walk up a hill to call the host to ask for the Wi-Fi. He didn't seem to care too much or apologize for the hassle. First and last time time VRBO.
