You won't find another house like this in Steamboat. Originally built in the Victorian era and transported to the base of the mountain in 1991, The Victorian Under the Gondola is Steamboat's most storied address — and summer is when it truly shines.

Your group of up to 16 spreads across 7 bedrooms and 8.5 baths on four restored floors, filled with irreplaceable character: Steinway grand piano, Tiffany-mantled fireplace, clawfoot soaking tubs, and a private hot tub for unwinding at the end of the day. No cookie-cutter ski condo comes close.

THE HOUSE
The chef's kitchen is built for big group breakfasts before the day's adventures. When evenings call for staying in, the lower-level game room delivers: pool table, wet bar, and a private theater. Two master suites define the second floor — one a romantic escape with its own fireplace and clawfoot soaking tub; the other opening to a private mountain-view patio perfect for golden-hour cocktails. A quiet library and lounge on the third floor is ideal for afternoon reads. Two covered garage spots included; the garage apartment can be added for groups needing extra space (see separate listing).

YOUR SUMMER BACKYARD
Steamboat's summers are extraordinary and deeply underrated. Hike to Fish Creek Falls (280 feet of spectacular waterfall, just minutes away). Soak at Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs up in the mountains. Raft or paddleboard the Yampa River. Splash at Old Town Hot Springs with the family. Ride world-class mountain biking trails or take the gondola up for panoramic views and ridge hiking. Downtown Steamboat has outstanding restaurants, craft breweries, and a lively main street that comes alive all summer long.
