Parking and staff were great. The room was clean but very tired.Housekeeping had done their best. The pillows were awful, no protectors and badly stained. The bed linen was worn and thin but clean. The carpet was marked and worn. It would cost much for new pillows!

I enjoyed my stay at the Alma Lodge Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was easy to get a late drink at the bar. The breakfast was quite varied and staff checked that items were maintained regularly, unlike in many other hotels I have stayed at in the past. I would be happy to stay at the Alma Lodge again.

The beds were hard, not comfortable at all, got very little sleep due to this, and the very thin walls. We could hear kids running in the corridor at 2am, and crying. Could also hear tv noise and general loud chat from other rooms, all due to the thin walls. Not a place i would come back to.

The reception staff on arrival were very good the room was also clean and well set out, the morning breakfast was excellant good standard of food available, staff good and helpfull . I will be coming back to stay again.

Good value for money

Bar are at the front a little dated in deco but the staff were fantastic so that made up for it! Rooms were clean and comfy and they served up a great breakfast. Plenty of parking spaces too

Pet friendly hotel. Rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade, but staff were friendly and hotel very clean. Down graded as breakfast coffee/hot water machine not great - the one thing people need in the morning is a decent cuppa- which unfortunately this did not give.
