Complete Disappointment by Host & VRBO

Host cancelled on us a few hours after “check-in” on day of arrival - received at 930pm after traveling all day with family. Was informed by VRBO that there was an exterior water line leak on property. When we went to visit the property the following day, there was trash all around exterior and mail overflowing the mailbox - appeared as if the property was not maintained for quite some time. The host would not respond to texts or communications via the app - they dodged the situation. And VRBO, although kind and helpful in the beginning, did not fairly compensate us for inconvenience, stress and impact to our vacation. Extremely disappointed in VRBO and this situation - will question using service again.

Trash and Dirty Towels & Sheets

Upon arriving there were cigarettes butts everywhere. The upstairs bedroom had dirty towels in the shower and on the bathroom rod. The sheets were also dirty. There was a pile of trash in the back yard and cigarette butts in the BBQ and in the planters. There were no trash can liners in the house and they left the windows cracked open. The neighborhood had a homeless guy sleeping across the street and did not feel safe

Lovely Lodi

Great house and location in older vintage craftsman home. Comfy, nice beds. Great sunny backyard. Beautiful landscaping. Large kitchen with modern appliances. Picture perfect to look at but stay could easily be enhanced with greater attention to small details: not enough silverware, only 7-8 forks and spoons; not enough pots and pans, limiting cook-your-own options (fortunately I brought my cook food): limited food storage options (fortunately I bring my own baggies); overhead light in one bedroom didn't work (ceiling light fixture or remote problem?) Saw a note left by a previous occupant detailing similar concerns. Note not seen by owner? Don't be deterred. A seasoned VRBO traveler can easily navigate. Will send more detailed suggestions to owner who may not be in the know.

Beautiful home in Lodi

The Palm House is a beautiful historic house in Lodi. It is close to downtown and also many wineries in the area. The host kept in touch throughout our stay. My family and I enjoyed our time here.

Great Lodi experience

Beautiful home and property and was very spacious! Host was GREAT and communicated daily which made it nice .. although we had no issues. Highly recommend staying here and close to everything you need

Palm House Lodi family wedding visit

We had a wonderful time staying at the Palm House. The home is beautiful inside and out. There was plenty of spaces to spend time to visit, chat, play cards etc. Communication was excellent, I had a couple of questions and the response received was surprisingly quick. I would highly recommend this place!
