We stayed in a waterfront cottage which was perfect for watching the world go by with a drink and enjoy the view from the verandah. Comfy bed and excellent shower to top it off. I’m always abit disappointed when there is no coffee machine but good coffee was a 2 min walk away

good. could be better

we stayed in an upstairs terrace room. it was comfortable but definitely old and needing a refresh. It looks as though NRMA owns half the town so maybe they don't have to try too hard given the limited accommodation on offer. overall, am an enjoyable 2 night stay.

The property itself looks like an outdated old motel. Stucco walls, old bathrooms. Needs a Reno to give a better presentation. Lounge/Bar area was lovely. Incredible views from the outdoor deck.

Unfortunately I can only give a 1 star rating to our experience at Strahan village. Due to the number of our travelling party we were only able to book a standard room. I have to acknowledge that an attempt has been made to update the bedroom with a lack of paint and new curtains and maybe even the beds. But the bathroom was unacceptable. On the bathroom wall on the tile grout was mould, around the bottom of the toilet were urine stains and the bathroom door around the handle had stains. To top it off at the entrance of our room was a big stain on the carpet and we had stains on the carpet in the bedroom. We arrived late, so we were unable to talk to someone regarding changing the room and after a very bad night sleep we decided to leave a day early. We spoke to the manager who explained we only had a standard room and can't have high expectations. I explained that for 3 prople that was our only option and he agreed. I mentioned the above problems and he said he can't do anything about the bathroom and the carpet is only 3 months old. I disagreed and told him they can regrout the shower tiles, give the toilets a good scrub and clean the carpet stains. He said he can't refund the outstanding night as I booked with expedia. We were also not happy with the restaurant choices for dinner and ended up buying groceries from the local supermarket aandeating sandwiches. The only highlights of Strahan overall were the beautiful view and the coffee shack with excellent coffee
