An adjacent waterfront walking/bicycle trail and boardwalk takes you through parkland to Downtown Historic Charlottetown. Or, take a short 5 min. drive across a bridge to downtown. Shopping, restaurant and most other services close buy. Centrally located for business, locums, golf or vacation travelers. BBQ, fire-pit, picnic table and Adirondack chairs for your use. Access to the harbour bottom for long walks at low tide. A great base for you to start exploring the city, the towns, the lighthouses, trails, golf courses and our beautiful beaches. Doug and Mary met us when we got there and showed us around the place. The space was beautiful and perfect for our pup too. We could walk with him right from the property to a nearby boardwalk. We found it very convenient to jump over the bridge and hit downtown Charlottetown in minutes. The location was perfect for day trips around the island. We would definitely recommend staying here!

This property has everything and more. The attention to detail in the provision of everything you could think of is just fantastic. We even had a 'junk drawer' in the kitchen for all the odds and ends that might be needed.If we could give 10 stars for this property we would.Our hosts went out of their way to accommodate our needs when we became caught up in the Air Canada strike and flights were cancelled.We would most definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting PEI.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Lovely 3 night stay!! Check in was a breeze. Apartment spotless and so well appointed. Had everything we needed. Loved the view of the Charlottetown Harbour and watching the Cruise Boats come in. Great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing/golfing. And Doug was right there to answer any questions and help us with a tv incident. Also Doug gifted us fresh veggies from his garden and a treat was waiting for us!! Thank You so much. Truly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!! T & G from Manitoba

Home in PEI

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. All around it was perfect. Doug and Mary were wonderful hosts and provided a clean, fully equipped, relaxing and beautiful home for our visit. We would highly recommend this charming home for a visit to Prince Edward Island.

Spectacular Sunsets

We enjoyed our stay at this Waterfront hideaway. The unit is well appointed and the bed supper comfy. The sunset view over the city was fantastic. We can highly recommend staying here.

Very comfortable apartment with stunning views

The owners were very welcoming and gave us plenty of information about the area - it was our first time on PEI. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped and we enjoyed sunsets across the harbour. Unfortunately the wet weather did not allow us to enjoy the outdoor seating. A large supermarket was a short drive away and central Charlottetown only a few minutes across the bridge. The majority of PEI attractions were also easily accessible from the property. Overall a great stay.

fantastic home in a beautiful area which was peaceful and relaxing.only ten minutes from downtown charlottown. our hosts doug and mary gave us our privacy but were always close by if you needed assistance .we loved this place and will be going back again.

This is more like an apartment. It is spacious and has all the necessities you would need. The view is gorgeous and the sunsets are beautiful. Doug and Mary are the best hosts. Lots of information on what to see and do. It was a super vaca!

Front row seat for Fiona!!

We stayed here before, during and just after Hurricane Fiona came through. Quite the experience. But we never felt we were at any severe risk - even though the neighbourhood suffered pretty significant damage. The property is a walk-out basement of a full house, facing onto but a safe distance setback from the bay and overlooking Charlottetown. Doug an Mary were excellent hosts and, while affording us our privacy, were proactive and communicative in ensuring our safety and comfort throughout. Great location with good views of Charlottetown waterfront. The deck chairs on the dock are a peaceful place to watch the Bald Eagles fish. We travelled the island on day trips and found this to be the perfect home-base. Quiet neighbourhood with open space and walking paths right outside the door for our dog. Close to groceries, restaurants, beer / liquor / wine store. The unit was perfectly appointed with high quality appliances, great blankets and comfortable beds and Doug and Mary are very kind and very organized. The info binder is a wealth of information that, if you didn't already have a plan for your stay, would help make your visit much more enjoyable. Great to have the BBQ, especially when the power went out. Would definitely recommend. If / when we're back in Charlottetown, no doubt we'll stay again.

Amazing location

Property clean and as described in online photos. Quality furnishings and all accessories supplied. It was nice to be welcomed and orientated by the homeowners upon arrival. Hosts were friendly and a wealth of information when it came to Island history and suggested activities. The views were fantastic and ever changing with tide and ships coming and going in the harbor opposite the residence. Great place to relax and easy access to downtown and any services required. Personally, I enjoyed the many bike paths and quiet, secure neighborhood. Could not have made a better choice for an extended stay. Mary (June 20 - July 17, 2022)

The Perfect Get Away

We loved looking out over the Harbour from our private backyard. The sunsets were beautiful and evenings around the fire pit are memorable. Lots of comfortable room inside.

Awesome location

Doug and Mary’s house was beautifully located, had spectacular views and is a 2 minute drive to downtown Charlottetown. If you are a cyclist it’s a fantastic location for that as well. There is a lovey grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy and local beach all within 5 minutes drive. Dougs guest book was the best prepared I’ve ever seen, his suggestions for dining and activities were greatly appreciated. It is clean, spacious and the beds and bedding are luxurious like a 5 star hotel. Kitchen is immaculate and everything you need is provided and seemed brand new. No oven but a very nice bbq is right outside under the covered porch. If I was to have one suggestion it would be some ceiling fans. A window air conditioner was provided and we were cool enough but a ceiling fan with windows open would have been the ultimate comfort. That being said it probably isn’t needed most of the time, we happened to stay during a rare heat wave. Thankyou again for the great stay!

Great views

One of the best places I have stayed- minutes from downtown Charlottetown and great views. Hosts were amazing and the little extras they provided were appreciated. Would stay there again.
