I arrived at the hotel after being at RSC all day . Although this is a 4star hotel there was a one man band running the hotel . I arrived at 2245 despite ringing the number I in the end by 2330 I had to leave my bag and suit in reception while I look around the hotel for someone to check me in . Then after getting in to the room at 0.00 after making a drink , I noticed that there was no heat in the room .the radiator had been left at 3 , but had been turned off . I then went to the night porter and he gave me a portable heater from his office. It two hours to warm the room up. The bathroom was like an ice box the towel rack radiator wasn't switched on . It's pretty obvious that all the heating had been switched off for the hotel. I had no sleep as the cold affects my bladder and I was up and down all night . I believe I should have a refund . I am a theatre and film influencer and have 80,000 views per 30 days @theteawithkelvin Instagram and have posted my complaint about hotel to my Instagram account. ⭐️

Staff were lovely but unfortunately during our stay there was no water supply meaning we were unable to get ready for our party. We were unable to flush toilet or wash and after a long journey this was less from ideal.

We received excellent customer service and the food was very generous. Whilst the price for a night is reasonable there was accepts of cleaning and maintenance which are poor. The room we were originally given had a radiator that couldn't be turned of and poorly cleaned bathtub (this was promptly rectified after speaking to the staff). General cleaning remains an issue around the hotel with cobwebs in the dining room and in the other bathroom we had broken mechanism in the bathtub to open the drain (we did not mention this as were tired of complaining after the issues with the first room)

Sleepless night

Wedding happening at the venus which we were not informed about noise going on late. Woken at 1am with people knocking on doors and shouting in corridor. Call reception and got Tesco answer message and no call back. Woken again at 3am as our room was above the kitchen by people talking and obviously cleaning up from the wedding. Plus large extractor by our window which was noisy. Might be a good wedding venue but not recommend if you just want a good nights sleep!!!

Two observations - this hotel has a 4pm check in time and a 10am check out time. When I turned up at 4.10pm to check in only to find the room wasn't ready I was not happy. In effect you have 18 hours occupation at the most. I was provided a complimentary drink whilst I waited but that isn't the point. How come it takes 6 hours to prepare a room? With regard to the room there was no way to turn on the radiator as it was a bit chilly and the sinks plug hole needed maintenance to let the water out faster. I did have breakfast in the morning which was acceptable.

The hotel it’s self was fine,the outside seating area was well done and the grounds overall were in great condition. however, the room it’s self smelt of cat pee which was most off putting I was only here for one night so didn’t feel the need to ask for a room change. The room size was good and the bar staff again were very accommodating. Overall the stay was fine just wish the smell wasn’t there.
