The staff were excellent and great communication. The room was dark and gloomy, with almost no natural light. The bedroom itself had curtains opening up to a black solid wall (zero light), while the living space had a large window but it opens to a narrow space between buildings which does not allow much sunlight. As a result it was very dim and not the most pleasant room to be in, which was disappointing as I had to work in the room for part of my stay - I had to have all the lights on throughout the day. While I don't necessarily expect a room to look precisely as in pictures, it really didn't resemble the advertised experience at all (the pictures look very light and airy/open).

Location is great. Lobby is nice. They allowed an early check in. Sorry but that’s where the good ends. Room was an upgrade but it wasn’t clean. We told them but if they did reclean we didn’t notice. There was biscuit crumbs all over the place. Bed and pillows weren’t comfy, shower over thee bath which to be fair was probably mentioned in the description. Would just e over a little more than this. Try somewhere different next time we’re in Sydney.

Nice hotel, great foyer, spacious and quirky. Great coffee shop on premises. Excellent hotel location also. The grumpy front desk was true to form though - just as other guest have mentioned. Don’t know why he works in Hospitality- he clearly does not like people.
