I stayed at Citadines North Sydney for three nights. Location of the hotel is fantastic, nestled amongst skyrises & within a minute walk of a local grocery store, bars & restaurants. The train station is 5 minutes’ walk so it is very convenient if you are reliant on public transport.
The hotel itself is a pleasure for the senses. Visually it's impressively decorated & felt plush. The highlight of my stay was the daily inclusive breakfast. I recommend adding this to your booking. The coffee was always on point and the food aesthetically appealing and delicious. I’m giving a special mention to the restaurants front of house staff Andrea. She managed the entire restaurant seamlessly and on her own. Andrea was warm, friendly, professional and extremely proficient. She is an asset to Citadines.
My room had it’s pros and cons. The room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. Good quality products were provided. The room was too dark even with all the lights on. This became particularly difficult when trying to apply make-up. The bathroom lacked power points for use of a hair dryer etc and the sink was too high. I feel the design lacked consideration in these aspects.
The service I received from hotel staff was mixed. Front counter staff were either pleasant to deal with or too busy for pleasantries. They did not answer the phone the 3 times I called over a span of 2 hours when trying to ask for replenishments. I went to reception to get the items & the manager was apologetic.
