Perfect Sydney break

We really enjoyed our stay in the Russell, the location is fantastic and great value for money. I was skeptical about having to share a bathroom but the facilities were all so well kept and modern. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also included it was just a selection of cereals, bread and pastries. You have to be up early though as it finishes at 9.30. The bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, they even leave chocolates on your pillow in the evening. Overall it's a lovely hotel with a fantastic location!

Location

Situated in The Rocks area of Melbourne 2 minutes walk from Circular Quay for ferries, trains, bus, walking ease to everything. Friendly old style hotel with antique furniture in room, communal sitting areas inside and out. Good value with much more personality than modern plastic hotel. Includes Continental breakfast; internet is charged though low cost. We had an ensuite room though lower cost non-ensuite are available. Quiet. Not for those with mobility limitations. Because it is older buildings joined together, there are a lot of 3 steps up to a corridor/reception, narrow corridors, and the access to the hotel requires walking up/down a 25 metre steep lane (not great if your suitcase doesn't have wheels or it is raining).

kleines Hotel an äusserst zentraler Lage

Pros: Lage, nettes Personal

altes Hotel an bester Lage

Die Lage is perfekt, mitten in 'the Rocks' gleich beim Hafen.
