I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Murano. Originally, i only booked 1 night, but extended my stay 4 additional nights. Staff is pleasant. The hotel is aesthetically appealing. Loved the view from my room of downtown Tacoma. I also had a picturesque view of Mt Ranier. The one thing I did not like is my room did not have a smart tv. Who watches cable anymore?! Lol Overall, I was very pleased with my stay.

I stayed at this property when it was brand new, and it was really excellent then. However some of the luster is wearing off. For what you get, it’s not the most amazing hotel for the money. I do appreciate all the art though, that’s the one really great thing about it. I think it would be nice if parking was comped for return guests or something. I did attempt to sign up for their rewards program but I got stuck in some kind of loop and gave up. In Tacoma there are not a lot of great options for hotels any more, the south end has taken a deep dive into crime and poverty and the down town area has only two real options. Murano and the “new” Marriot. If you want to have a beautiful location you can head down to Ruston point and stay in the new Silver Cloud but it’s certainly not worth the expense that they charge- for tiny rooms and a tinier pool, and the restaurant used to be great but since the new manager has taken over it’s gone downhill fast. Murano could definitely be the premier location to stay with just a few little tweaks. Fix the cracked glass in the elevator and put some new carpet in the main entry that everyone uses, if they park- and truly, even in downtown Seattle ans Bellevue it’s not too hard to find a hotel that comps parking for guests, in much safer parking garages than this one. Otherwise, the bed was comfy, the pillows were nice and the bathroom was clean. They offered a discount for dining for not having your room cleaned. Not bad :)

Hotel Murano is in a convenient location to explore Tacoma's downtown area. It does have a few amenities like a decent restaurant & a bar area. The building is in need of a little updating, in particular, the elevators - very slow with 1 of 3 out of service.
