We booked the deluxe family suite, which is huge. A living room (with work table and small dining table), separate bedroom with a king and a queen, a bathroom with standing shower and a tub, plus a closet. Water foundation at each floor and a small fridge in the room. Washer dryer on site. Great soundproofing. Although it doesn’t have a gym or pool, we feel it has everything we are looking for for our relatively long stay in Taipei.

The entire building was wrapped for construction. No view of outside at all and no natural sunlight. The notice from the hotel management a week prior to our stay only mentioned inconvenience caused by construction, but did not mention anything about the wrapping and lack of outside light, which created a very claustrophobic feeling. On the first night, we could not sleep on account of the very bright bathroom light being unable to be turned off. We had to report the maintenance issue to staff next day for them to repair the faulty switch. Not a single apology from the staff for the problem it caused us. Instead, made us feel we were troubling them with a maintenance request. Will not stay there again even without the construction issue.

Room was big and very quiet, they must have great sound-proofing because I didn’t even hear a thing when it was pouring outside. Beds are very comfortable. Although deco is a little old fashioned but the place is kept well and very clean. Hotel provides snack in the room and in the lobby for guests, and umbrellas to borrow when it rains. Would definitely stay here again and recommends it to friends.

My family (2 kids and 2 adults) stayed at the deluxe family suite of Evergreen for almost 10 days. We have only the best things to say about the hotel. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. The property, while the style was a little more old-fashioned, was clean and well-kept. Good breakfast selection. The room is huge (has a living room, bedroom section with one king and one queen) and also a bathroom with 2 sinks, a standing shower and a jet tub) that gives our family of 4 enough room for our long stay. Location wise it’s within 5ish minute walk from MRT station Songjiang Nanjing, which makes travelling by public transportation very easy. There are tons of convenient stores, restaurants, and Watsons nearby for grabbing any food or items we forgot to bring. The hotel was able to offer luggage storage when we left Taipei to visit other cities and also receive packages on my behalf. The best part is it has washer /dryer at a lower than laundry-mart cost on site, which saved as a lot of trouble with our laundry! A special shout out to sales manager Gordon L., who answered a lot of my questions via email before our trip (and made me decide to book with Evergreen) and also to front desk Nancy C., who helped me find medical assistance when I returned from Sunmoon lake During our trip, we also stayed at other 4/5 star hotels outside of Taipei. We all agreed that Evergreen’s service is best and it is also the best bang for our bucks. Just a very solid hotel overall!

Evergreen Laurel has been our home base for the last 10 years. It's a very comfortable hotel with excellent location. Breakfast is wonderful. It provides snacks and also serves congee for the hotel guests in the evening.

Great Hotel 5 ⭐

This hotel is an excellent place to stay in Taepi. We were kindly given complimentary upgrades and thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is outstanding. The location is ideal—just a five-minute walk to the MRT. Highly recommended.

I love everything about this hotel, and I have been coming here for decades wherever I visit Taipei . It’s a hidden gem. I was particularly impressed with Tiffany’s hospitality at front desk, she was courteous pleasant and efficient. During my 10-day stay there, they truly made me feel like home !

Entrance is clean along with staff to open the door for you whenever you go out or when you come back inside. If not, they will usually leave the door open for you. Lobby contains sitting areas, one giving access to tables, etc. Has a coffee machine that gives free coffee, but will occasionally need staff to refill. Front desk will usually greet you when passing by, and is friendly. They have two staff working at the desk and two chairs each when consulting with staff. Stayed longer than 10 days, and was given the option for our room to not be cleaned the next day for a basket of treats. Beds are neatly made every morning after you leave, with everything else cleaned up and organized. They will not provide amenities such as combs, shower caps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, or conditioner; bring or buy your own. Shampoo and soap has a nice scent.
