Das Hotel liegt in einer gepflegten schönen Anlage direkt am Meer. Unser sehr schönes Zimmer direkt gegen das Meer war sehr schön. Was gestört hat, war nachts die relativ lauten Anlagen im Gebäude: Lüftung, Klimaanlage, Pumpen. Obschon wir die Klimaanlage ausgeschaltet hatten, brummte immer irgend etwas. Morgens ab 8.30 Uhr hört man im weitläufigen Gang die Angestellten reden und rufen. Es hallt dann ziemlich durch die Gänge. Das sind aber auch schon die einzigen wirklichen Kritikpunkte.

Abgelegenes Hotel in Strandnähe

Pros: Poolvilla war völlig okey und sehr grosszügig.
Cons: Hotel hätte eine Renovation nötig.
Location: sehr abgelegen (etwa 10km bis Khao Lak Center), in der Nähe hat es einige, schöne Strände, welche mit dem Roller gut zu erkunden sind.
Wir buchten eine Poolvilla im Apsara. Diese wär völlig okey und sehr grosszügig. Allerdings kann ich den früheren Bewertungen bzgl. Alter, Zustand etc. zustimmen. Man merkt, dass die Anlage bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Nach wie vor alles gepflegt aber Abnützungserscheinungen sind überall zu sehen. Ich persönlich empfehle zwingend eine Poolvilla. Ein normales Zimmer würde ich in diesem Hotel nicht buchen. Poolbereich separat für Villagäste. Dieser ist sehr schön. Das Frühstück (für Villengäste in einem separaten Restaurant) ist okey aber verhältnismässig nichts Spezielles. Da hatten wir also scho viele Male besser gefrühstückt und keine Villa gebucht. Es ist jedoch alles vorhanden (Müesli, Brot, Säfte, Kafffee, Cappuccino, Fleisch, Käse, frische Eierspeisen). Das Personal beim Frühstück ist sehr aufmerksam. Sonst haben wir nie im Hotel gegessen. Wir waren viel im Jumpajan (etwa 1km zu Fuss vom Hotel entfernt, beim Tsunami-Meetingpoint) oder in der Memories Bar (direkt beim Strand links neben dem Hotel). Beide Restaurants sehr zu empfehlen. Und natürlich auch einiges preiswerter wie im Hotel. Das Hotel bietet zwar einen Shuttle in das Zentrum von Khao Lak an (100 Baht p.Person+Weg) - jedoch fährt dieser nur 2-3x täglich. Die Tuktuks vor Ort haben fixe Preise - da kann man (fast) nichts mehr machen. Die wollen immer mind. 300 Baht pro Weg (für 250 Baht haben wir es hingebracht). Da das Hotel sehr abgelegen ist, empfehlen wir, einen Roller zu mieten (ca. 300 Baht/Tag)

Bel hôtel mais assez loin de tout

Bel hôtel, mais assez éloigné de tout. Les 3 ou 4 restaurants les plus proches sont à env. 20 minutes de marche et le centre de Khao Lak à env. 12km (env. 15 minutes en scooter ou en taxi). Quelques massages et buvettes sur la plage à proximité de l'hôtel. Les prix à l'hôtel sont naturellement plus élevés qu'en dehors. N'hésitez pas à négocier les prix des taxis, à la station taxi à proximité mais également à l'hôtel, spécialement les transferts pour l'aéroport. Bel hôtel à conseiller aux personnes qui veulent rester à l'hôtel ou ceux qui louent un scooter (en dehors de l'hôtel, différence de prix du simple au double). Belle plage et belles piscines.

Suurin osa henkilökunnasta ei ymmärrä englantia. Mitä tahansa pyydät, vastaus on vain "yes" tai "yes, yes" etkä koskaan voi tietää ymmerrettiinkö pyyntösi vai ei. Mitä tahansa pyydätkin, joudut pyytämään sitä kolme kertaa ja odottamaan yön yli ennen kuin mitään tapahtuu. Hotellilla ei ole minkäänlaista suunnitelmaa akuuttien sairastapausten varalle. Vauvamme sai vakavan anafylaktisen reaktion aamupalan jälkeen ja tarvitsi akuutisti hoitoa. Henkilökunta kysyi MEILTÄ josko lääkäri pitäisi kutsua hotellille vai josko meidät pitäisi viedä sairaalaan. Mitään ambulanssia ei kuulemma ollut olemassa. Mehän emme voineet tietää kumpi vaihtoehto on nopeampi ja lopulta hotellin henkilökunta vei meidät julkiseen sairaalaan. Onneksi anafylaktinen reaktio ei aiheuttanut henkitorven turpoamista ja lapsemme selvisi, koska sairaalaan pääsy kesti niin kauan että lapsemme olisi varmasti kuollut. Ainoa asia joka poikamme ruokavaliossa oli muuttunut oli vesi johon aamupuuro ja korvikemaito valmistettiin. Juttelimme hotellin "restaurant and bar manager"in kanssa ja pyysimme häntä tarkistamaan aamiaisella tarjottavan veden käsittelyprosessin ja laadun. Hän kuitenkin kieltäytyi ja hoki veden olevan varmasti juomakelpoista. Huoneessa haisi home. Vessassa oli homeelta näyttäviä pilkkuja katossa. Sänky oli todella kova ja erikseen pyydetty sijauspatja ei parantanut tilannetta. Positiivista: Nätti ranta ja uima-allas. Ystävällinen henkilökunta ravintolassa.
